Lol at thinking evo still matters in 2017 or a game needs to be there to be relevant.

I didn't mean to imply that it was on Combobreaker.UFGT, now Combo Breaker is always memorial day weekend. If esports orgs don't care enough to pay attention to the entrenched events of the community they are trying to engage, I don't see how that's on Combo Breaker in any way.
$40?! Capcom are hilarious. That isn't even worth $15 to me.
Chaos Code New Sign of Catastrophe is up for PS4 now
Great fighter that was crippled in its previous iteration by lack of online. It now has online plus the arcade updates that were missing from the first version like the new moves per character.
Its pretty cool as it lets you customize a bit by letting you choose a few skill to equip before the match like specials or movement stuff.
So I am guessing no Marvel at Japan EVO either? Lol...

No SFV & no Marvel? Sounds like the best EVO ever.
Wonder how much of this is on Nintendo! Every other game seem to be a bit more expensive on the Switch, $40 is probably the lowest they could charge for a physical release.$40?! Capcom are hilarious. That isn't even worth $15 to me.
Not as much as stirring the pot. ;pI thought you liked Marvel?
I thought you liked Marvel?
And this means more anime games and no one sane wants that.

It's a joke dude. I thought that was clear but next time I'll say Kappa at the end.
Speaking of Marvel, Infinite promises to be "simple" but "have depth". I'm looking forward to Capcom's new marketing strategy for DMC5 in light of this. "The game is challenging but easy"
Capcom USA owns the license to Street Fighter. It's all a bit wishy washy when it comes to this sort of stuff.
Probably for the same reason why Capcom Japan is cockblocking Capcom USA whenever they can.Even if there were, why wouldn't Capcom USA give the go ahead?
Here's some musings:
- So far EVO Japan is on arcade only.
- The supposed arcade SFV apparently has some tie in with Taito, I heard from a good friend who said word down the grapevine is that the arcade release is exclusive to Taito game centers only. (Which is stupid)
- Taito has its own SBO replacement in Toshinsai or whatever.
- SF IP is owned by Capcom USA (but Capcom Co. owns its subsidiary so ehhhhh).
Looks like just like last time, they chose to only release it in a few countries in the EU. Great, just great. Saves me money i guess.
Its on Steam too dude.
I'm diggin it because I can finally use Ray's "fuck you I got armor" walk up super that goes through everything. Acts like its unblockable too.

Armor, rekkas, good range, AA grab, big damage dash up grab that you can combo into after his special that has him dive above them and stop straight down for an over head (which is also a neat crossup). Ray is pretty awesome and worth owning this sequel for.
This guy seems... familiar.
I'm reminded of Miguel from Tekken, but only because of that "casually walk up and punch you out" move.
i heard chaos is good

White billionaire dude learns the error of his ways and learns martial arts to fight crime and stuff as a vigilante.Saw the trailer. Wasn't sure what IronFist is about.
White billionaire dude learns the error of his ways and learns martial arts to fight crime and stuff as a vigilante.
Even before going into the show, the premise for the average person gives off a "been there done that" feel. Sure this one has a heavier martial arts feel to it (which I like, big fan of that aspect) but from the promos it doesn't seem to be doing anything special in that regard either. Standard Hollywood type action choreography.
"I'm just sayin' you don't need to go through all of this. I can guess his goddamn origin: Disaffected rich kid. Fled America and trained with mystical Eastern warriors. Soon became the bestone year at ninja camp is always enough time for a gringo to get better than any native. He defeated the jealous Eastern ex-best warrior. Screwed the prettiest Eastern girl. Earned the respect of her dad, some old guy with a white mustache who's been waiting all his life for a white boy to come to his school. Came home and decided to fight crime. Am I right?"

But the critics could be wrong on it and it might be better than that especially for the fans.
It is. Cheapo announcer though lol. So cheesey...other than that its actually really good to play.
- You get to equip two moves before the match starts to help customize your gameplay. One extra super and one extra special. These are quite varied and really change your gameplay.
- You can choose between dash or run before the match starts
- Super jump, double jump, air dash, dodge roll environment so pretty good movement all around outside of the custom run/dash
- universal mechanic that lets you guard crush folks for a bar. If you block string into it then it does less damage but its got good stun
- counters...or tactical guards or whatever. Press two buttons to blow folks back mid attack and punish. Combos off of this are heavily scaled of course.
- CHAOS SHIFT CANCELS! This is the real meat of the game. You can cancel the animation of a super move into neutral or a forward lunge. This is what makes Chaos Code's pressure and countering so intense and fun. Some moves can be shifted, some cant some can even be shifted on whif lol.
- Exceed Chaos. Costs 3 bars and lets you perform combos you couldnt before like Koihime Enbu or DFCI. The kicker is that during this YOU HAVE INFINITE SUPER METER AND GAIN HEALTH. When its over your super meter is locked till the overheat gauge runs out, but this plus Chaos shifts equates to insane comebacks and moments in this title.
This version also added , in addition to Ray, a new girl character in a Cammy theme complete with thong called "Lupinus". She's a neat character with lots of long range grapples and such. She has a great corner mixup like Chipp Zanuff with her wall cling and her movement overall is great given her walk is so fast it beats some runs and her run is ridiculous.

That thing Lupinus puts on the ground in the first webm is a Claymore super that pulses on the ground 3 times for setups. Given she has huge AA and some unblockable grab AA command normal stuff with her 3C move this is a devastating tool for her to use to setup folks. In general, given her huge hitboxes, movement, unblockable stuff, frame traps and what all she is hard to punish even if she has weak defense. Once she gets goin it never stops and she's hard as shit to catch or get in on.
