Bishōjo (美少女?, literally "beautiful young girl", also spelled bishoujo) is a Japanese term used to refer to young and pretty girls, usually below university age. A variant named biyōjo (美幼女?) refers to a girl before the age of adolescence.

Dem Japanese perverts

That's dumb. I just want to fuck around and learn stuff in training mode not against the stupid ai.

All fighting game demos should have a training mode in it and none do.

Internationals will run a train on Americans in SF4. FChamp would be more interested in defending his turf from ChrisG. ChrisG has never won a tournament in the West Coast, this could possibly be his first one. This is the final roadblock to ChrisG's road to EVO 2013, if he wins Norcal he has the highest chance of winning EVO so a win here is very important to him.

Yeah I'm pretty sure that's the case. The situation with SF4 in America is a weird one. Tons of people still enter the game and it still pulls in a lot of viewers, but it's like most top players for this game don't really care to try and win at this game anymore. It's almost like how SoCal is with Marvel. And surprisingly the most improved SF4 player from what I've seen lately is the current king of Marvel, Chris G. Well if America don't care at least we'll get to see the Daigo vs Infiltration show in SF4.

Something else I wanted to touch on. Their was talk of EVO vs other majors earlier in this thread. FR is only the 2nd major I've been to, the first being EVO in 2011. I enjoyed FR, but man I just don't think anything will ever compare to EVO in my eyes. The size and scale is unmatched and just made me feel like I was part of something really special or even magical. It also helped that their was tons of space for everything. So their wasn't a heat or overcrowding issue and watching pool matches was a breeze compared to FR which was impossible unless you were part of the mob that was there already. I see that BYOC was cut or shrunk in 2012, that wasn't the case in 2011 and their were plenty when I was there. Hopefully it'll be back to its old self in 2013.

I also recently saw the trailer for "The Fall Classic" and saw the video they posted of the main ballroom. I'm excited about it and it's only a few hours away from where I live so attending won't be a problem. I just wish they could have found a place with a much bigger ball room or even rented a convention center. I figure a much bigger ballroom probably doesn't exist in Raleigh and you can't risk spending money on a convention center unless you know thousands of people will show up. This is just the beginning though, I hope someday TFC can evolve into something like a East Coast EVO. Not that it's suppose to challenge EVO, just that it can provide that epic size and scale that EVO is known for.

PDP is just rebranded Pelican. Remember them?

Yeah, I remember buying a Pelican PS1 arcade stick thinking it was going to be good. It turned out to be a piece of trash but I also remember MadCatz being some fourth rate 3rd party peripheral maker before Street Fighter IV. So things could have changed for PDP.

With that said, I won't buy the PDP controller without testing out the micro switch d-pad, last thing I need is it feeling like playing on a dual shock analog.

Old school Pelican > old school Madcatz.

Madcatz has come a long way though. I bought one of thems tritton headsets and I've won approximately 1000x more majors.

the pdp headsets are actually a pretty great value at their pricepoint. the sound is pretty good, though the mic chat is a little underwhelming.

I swear, everyone just needs a secondary character. Like me choosing Makoto and then playing Cammy for my matchups I don't like.

Unfortunately Balrog is bad for both.
Yup, Infiltration has 3 mains he swaps between. Play the matchups.

Actually curious to see what happens in SFxT though. I think Infiltration will adapt but I hope Setholol has some match up tricks up his sleeve because that Rolento/Law match up wasn't looking too pretty for him and his Kuma did the work for him and mostly because of lack of match up knowledge (he was constantly getting hit by crouch stance lows).
Infiltration started doing well once he started putting Rolento first - he can harass Kuma really well if he gets a life lead to maintain.

Madcatz bought out Triton I thought.

Yea, old school pelican and madcatz were battling for the shit trophy.

New pelican aka pdp have some good guys I think, so hopefully they are turning it around as well.

Actually there's no instructions at all, not even the standard "picture of a controller that shows you what the buttons do." So this is just what I found from mashing buttons.

X = light
Y = medium
A = heavy
B = special/gimmick
RT = press for EX moves

LB = throw (or light + heavy)
RB = interact with background
RT + LT = super

I don't know how you initiate that wager thing.

It does have the whole move list and frame data though for the demo characters.
Thanks, I'm looking forward to trying the PSN demo tonight when I get home from work.

This is the pure and Honest truth, they were both ass back in the day.

After experimenting a bit more I think this is a 5 button game.

1: light attack (X)
2: medium attack (Y)
3: heavy attack (A)
4: character trait (B)
5: meter burn (RT)

1+3: throw (also mapped to LB)
2+3: stance change (also mapped to LT)
2+4: stage interaction (also mapped to RB)
2+3+5: super (also mapped to LT+RT)

Meter Burn button is used for all meter-consuming abilities, including EX moves, supers, pushblock, clash, and adding armor to "charge" moves.

fanatiq said on his stream that he thinks the best pad controller is the ps2 then ps3 then the PDP pads.

Also I think that the PDP stick with injustice is garbage. Or maybe that was arturo...lol

...I thought he used the 360 controller at tournies before he became sponsored.

Man, I hate the stances/idle pose the character have Injustice. So stiff. Just like in MK, the pose to pose are so abrupt it looks like someone is scrubbing frames in an animation reel. The ultra cinematics looks good though.

Remember when PDP hosted that MK tournament with the requirement that you had to use their sticks?

Then their stick broke on Perfect Legend in losers finals or something?

Yea. That was great.

The blood in the after battle win poses is really offputting. "Hey, we heard you wanted to see Wonder Woman with a horrific gash on her arm!" No. No, I really didn't.

Can someone watch spooky's video response on twitter to this AGE thing and tell me what it's about. I'm at work.

He's just saying that Fanatiq was promoting too hard, but he already spoke to the AGE "manager" and the AGE players will have "AGE" before their names again on Spooky streams.

Is Fanatiq actually gone from AGE or was that an april fools thing?

What? Hold back? Sweet!

The game still has some Mortal Kombat feel to it, but it incorporates stuff from more traditional fighters. It's got hold back to block, it's got pushblock, and it has something pretty similar to a focus attack.

Basically he talked about that he spoke with AGE and the conclusion is that Fanatiq was wrong for what he did and he was also wrong to punish the other AGE members (NYC Fab and Chris G). He said it's okay for AGE members to thank their sponsor on stream and give out the code but they can't do what Fanatiq has been doing.

He will label them properly at future events.

Also NLBC will have SFXT Ranbats for a trip to the beach.

This is more or less my issue with all of Netherrealm's games. It's one thing to have, what I thought was, a homage to the older style look and feel of MK games and quite another when it becomes apparent that that's actually how you want all of your fighting games to look like in motion. Still waiting for the PSN demo to come out though.

Rip's stream was pretty entertaining, anyone know whether or not it'll be possible to toggle the wager mechanic on/off in the full release?

Spooky is such a stand-up guy. I remember he went on Live on 3 once when FGC people were getting bashed by them and did not take the argument bait they were trying to feed him.

He answered each question thoughtfully and really frustrated the hosts, who were looking to get him angry.

It was an April Fools joke.
