Who are you trying to play?
I can give you feedback via matches or an uploaded replay.
what... did i just watch...
Daigo waking up from a hangover on a parkbench in front of cal poly
I dig. IMO, you should just pick who you want to learn. Don't worry about picking a "beginner" character. You can do really well in Smash just with your fundamentals.I briefly checked out almost everyone on the first two rows of characters (I have none of the unlocks yet). I spent the majority of my time with Mario, Peach and Bowser. Really my problems at this point are just basic fundamental stuff like movement and attacks, when to go for grabs etc., I don't think I'm even at the point where I'd probably be asking for very specific advice yet. I'm going to finish watching the Ultrachen walkthrough of all of the characters (and I'm following along in Training mode with the characters they are going through) and then start doing some single-player stuff in the morning to start working on unlocks and maybe get an easier feel for what the hell I'm doing in easier AI matches. Once I start to get a better grasp on things I might ask specific advice or do replays, I appreciate the offer. It's kind of weird trying to find complete beginner stuff on Smash in general at this point, there's a ton of stuff and footage out there but so much of it assumes some level of knowledge of the last 15 years of the game. Part of why I'm appreciating the Ultrachen videos so much.
Character-wise I like Peach the most so far out of the main 3 I played but I think she may not be the best beginner character. I was having the most success with Bowser and I like him enough, but he's not generally my type of character though. Rosalina and Robin both interest me but definitely don't seem to be beginner characters, Robin especially. I liked Luigi, Link, Zelda, Sheik, Toon Link, Samus, ZSS and Pit to various extents. Yoshi, Bowser Jr, both DKs, Little Mac, Gannon, Palutena, Marth and Ike didn't really do anything for me for various reasons.
i'm gonna load my revolver and shoot in the dark, but something tells me that, that was not Daigo.
I'm fucking tired and still doing more work tonight, lol
yeah, it was lol.

To build off of this great idea: check out Warframe. It's a successful F2P game that has a lot of stuff you can get as rewards. Rewards are usually gotten in one of 3 ways:Nice post.
Given that Sticks, converters, splitters, different gaming systems and even monitor's that are rated below 1 frame of lag have some lag that when added up can affect matches, i do hope that Capcom can find a way to make some of the tasks that require 1 to 2 frame timing easier without restricting player options. It would help online play too which i think is important for growing the playerbase.
I think that what fg's need to attract more players is to make the players actually want to compete and to get better by offering more interesting online modes and rewards.
For example besides rank and endless mode there could be events every once in a while (every month or year for example) within the game divided by region (europe, asia for example or perhaps even country specific) and skill level. These events could offer rewards like unique cosmetic items or titles and the top 5 (or top 10 or whatever) of each league could be displeyd within the game and you could also spectate top players or friends within the game.
Besides tournaments there could be other events. In Ygo online there were events where at a set amount of time in a specific time frame the player with most conscutive matches won is the winner of the event. There, players of lower skill levels would have more chances of doing well than in a tournament since they would be randomly paired with someone during the event.
Right now people have no reason to play modes other than ranked and endless and there is a minimal sense of progression and reward. Trying to get to a higher league or to try to do well in an event in your own league and have your name displayed for everyone to see when they start the game could be very compelling.
Justin got straight up bullied

The RNG is gross at times but Warframe lets you (slowly) acquire almost anything game-play related for free while selling cosmetics for real money. To build off of this great idea: check out Warframe. Rewards are usually gotten in one of 3 ways:
1) Buying it with in-game money.
2) Buying it with real-life money.
3) Waiting for an event to pop up so you can complete it and earn the reward.
This and execution arent mutually exclusive though. To be able to follow through with that strategy and those mind games requires execution. That's why I laugh when people like Art say they have shitty execution, dude has execution for days.

Why not do something similar with cosmetics in fighting games?
Who wouldn't download a mobile alert app to let them know when the in-game event for black fireballs shows up?
Torimeshi Dhalsim going ham right now
so shouta, a guy named logical (? first name james) was here in cinci visiting his parents and came to a small tourney. Says he runs the side streams for nwm and knows you. Says you do so much for your scene. He sorta talked about who's coming to nwm but didn't say names
Oh, I know all-too-well. I have made Vauban from alerts. ;-)The RNG is gross at times but Warframe lets you (slowly) acquire almost anything game-play related for free while selling cosmetics for real money.
Those events don't last more than usually 1-2 hours and one character, Vauban, is exclusively obtainable through methods 2 and 3. You need his head, body, and guts from three separate events. Imagine having to wake up at 4AM or remotely logging into your PC from work/school so you can unlock Oni's legs sooner. :lol
Sounds.. pretty bad.The RNG is gross at times but Warframe lets you (slowly) acquire almost anything game-play related for free while selling cosmetics for real money.

Yeah, Logichole is from our area. He usually does our Airdashers streams at tournaments but since he's visiting family this year, he couldn't stream for us at Regionals today. We're actually going to announce who's coming for NWM tonight.
It's just for one character. Most of the characters are easy to get by grinding 4-5 kills on a boss.Sounds.. pretty bad.
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME HOW DAIGO BODIED JUSTIN WONG?!
