huh.....what is this madness?! :lol

They only spoiled one thing this time which was:

*There's a Ryu vs Cammy match which pretty much means that Infiltration loses somewhere in there, probably very early. So no going home with $25000 for him. Only Laugh plays Ryu from the pool.

LMAO @ chibi Sanford on 0:15.

Or.....Infiltration picked Ryy to counter the Cammy match like he is known to do....

I wasn't even thinking about it starting late, just the amount of time allocated.

Going to be an interesting night, let's see how it plays out.

Every team tourney ever:
- Two teams are stacked and are expected to meet in the finals
- Random team somehow eliminates one of the favourites
- Other favourite proceeds to destroy random team

So who is going to challenge Combofiend in some MONEY MATCHES GUYS?

@CapcomFighters 47s
Challenge Capcom returns today at 4PM PST with your host @thecombofiend! We'll be talking @VirginGaming and playing SSF4: AE on XBL!

LOL. What is the story here?

Paradigm beat Chris 3-0 with a perfect in the last round, went to shake his hand but Chris was busy being salty, then took his hand away right before Chris tried to shake his, leading to an awkward situation.

IIRC Chris started the set with Morrigan/Magneto/Doom, but switched to his real team after the first game.

Why do people think Infiltration picked Ryu to counter match?

There are character locks at this exhibition.

here we go, hope it's not too big

Man Chris, that salt is too strong. After this he'll start gaining weight to cope with the salt and become C. Gonzalez and dye his hair. Also a perfect with Haggar that isn't a KaneBlueRiver perfect? Man, Chris really screwed up.

For some reason I can never take your comments seriously with that maniacal Arthur avatar!

You have only one thing you need to do Parallax.

Chris G. got bodied relentlessly by Paradigm last sight. 3-0 then 3-1 in Grand Finals.

The West Coast is too strong.

Paradigm!
Why is Haggar/Dorm popular anyway? What's the synergy there?
Yeah, Dorm's assist is a good combo extender (off of OTG leg drop to pipe) and Haggar's Lariat Assist helps dorm when he is getting rushed down. Also, I think their team super allows Haggar to get even more hits. Also the playstyle of getting in (Haggar) to fullscreen control/teleport mix-up changes the pace and areas the control.

Thanks. He looks so destroyed as Paradigm walks away.

Haggar gives Dorm Lariat which is basically the best defensive assist in the game and what he needs to combat characters like Wolverine. Dark Hole allows enough lock down for Haggar to go for his mix ups (which are his Hoodlum Launcher command throw type mix ups or even some fuzzy guard style mix ups) or maintain pressure. Their team hyper is good too and Haggar can go safely into Dorm after he has build enough meter for him. Both assists are useful for each of the character's combo extensions as well.

It's a well balanced team because it contains Wolverine type teams with Haggar and it contains heavy zoning/Doom Missiles team with Dorm himself.

Also, Haggar has a ton of health and a meterless invincible move, which means:
1) Haggar is almost always going to build you a second bar.
2) Haggar can always DHC Dormammu in safely thanks to Double Lariat x Rapid Fire Fist -> Dormammu.

Getting Dormammu in safely and with frame advantage is like 90% of his game. If you can do that, there is a very good chance you will win with solid play.

That's the real reason. Dark Hole sucks for Haggar.

Paradigm is great and etc, but I feel like Haggar should never win against a good MorriDoom team, so...Chris feeling the SoCal jitters?

I haven't taken a close look at why Chris got bodied so hard. But good shit to the TRB guys for defending the title 2 weeks in a row.

Ah, that makes sense too.

He honestly doesn't look salty to me, just looks like someone that lost a match and is trying to figure out what happened. The awkward hand shake is pretty funny but I'd be lying if I said that doesn't happen to me sometimes too.

Hey, I love that Arthur, its the best thing I seen when I started playing Vanillia MVC3 a while back, and back when justin wong thought this game was cheap and easy(Which is now known it IS!) but I remember seeing how he change his opinion afterward he was messing with Wolverine and someone made a picture of the tweets and added this at the end and I know I love this picture. I can't seem to find it at all, I am sad

Also I love that arthur picture so Much I got a $1 mouse pad of it: http://i.imgur.com/tmjO6rr.jpg

Wait, why does Dark Hole assist suck for Haggar? What would be a better assist?
Because it locks down a very specific portion of the screen and it doesn't come out that fast. You are much better off using Cold Shots or Tatsu. It doesn't even lock down for that long but usually enough to do some sort of mix up which is what Paradigm manages. It's solid for combo extensions but that's like... the bare minimum application of an assist.

Haggar can do headbutt fuzzy guard/cr.L mix ups with it along with command throw mix ups (ground version or air version where he launches himself up) plus use it for block strings to maintain pressure.

When I (tried to) use Haggar, I used RR's double Spitfire with Drones or Plasma Beam. Paradigm uses the Dorm assist mostly for combo extension since it stays there long enough so its easy to use mid-combo and allows him to TOD anyone. His other team Haggar/RR/Arthur did the same thing (RR Spitfire for combo extension).

I just wanted to know what a better Dorm assist he would use with his haggar team?

This.

Chris was frustrated the whole night. Even did that when he won. It's less salt and more just frustrated with how you're playing.
