People didn't take that novel as canon as this has happened before in the DMC canon (novel comes out after game, is canon until the next game in the series overrides novel). So there was always controversy over this.

However someone read through the DMC3142 Graphic artbook and translated a portion of Nero's profile (posted a scanned image, can't post it here obviously) and says it as clear as day that he is in fact Vergil's son.

No one is at that level... Losing 18 rounds and only winning (iirc) 2 in front of the internet is too shitty. Made myself and the game look bad with that onesided performance. :(

It's always seemed to me the main reason people latch on to Bridget is because of "lol secretly a boy tho!?!" aspect of the character.

He's pretty awesome when it comes to playing him. But yes that's why he is popular and honestly it's a shitty reason to be popular. He's not even secretly a boy, he straight up says he's a boy. His story is about him "wanting to be more manly"

But hey people love Futanari shit so it's no shock.

I felt like this for a while but after seeing him played and realizing that's the closest I'm ever getting to seeing a strictly yo-yo based Mike Jones in a fighting game, I began to respect the character a bit more. :lol

Edit: Preach Rhapsody. Nothing like doing random lab streams that are near ghost towns but seeing all the viewers come in to watch me get mauled in the worst kinds of ways. :lol

I meant more that people are into the character due to the gender-ambiguity rather than reasons related to playstyle (though anytime there's a general char design thread on the gaming side and bridget is mentioned, there always people surprised he's not a girl).

Yeah- I dunno, it's just really annoying that every single Xrd thread leading up to the game's release was full of people saying "No (insert char name here), no thanks." It was like a hipster battle of who could pine for the most obscure least-played character to pine for. That and the threads were full of people claiming they will wait for the 'definitive version' of the game. It's a bunch of people that liked the idea of talking about the game more than actually playing the game.

Absolutely- but I can't believe people who like Guilty Gear really aren't going to buy the game based on the inclusion of any single character. Somebody says, "Disappointed in no Bridget," and it's fine. Somebody says, "No Bridget, no sale!" is probably a piece of shit that wasn't going to buy the game regardless.

I literally bought Guilty Gear XX Accent Core 3 times.
Not + or +R, Accent Core, 3 times.
I only bought + twice, including the PS3 release.
