This is fucking stupid. Fuerte is retarded.

How is this even Street Fighter? So glad when that piece of shit is gone in SFV.

Nothing about this is fun to watch. Pepeday is overrated too imo.

Pepeday is a good player. It's just a matchup no one has put 6 years into practicing since there are maybe 4 good Fuerte players. Smug and Daigo have been able to adapt to Pepeday and beat him consistently, with challenge, time for everyone else to put in the work.

If pepeday is so good how come he only started coming up after Elf got buffed?

Edit.

And yes, I'm Salty as fuck watching this "fight".

He needed more practice and experience to get to his current level. He plays in a country where the same handful of people have been dominating for nearly two decades so that's a hurdle to overcome that requires lots of practice. I also believe he is geographically distant from the major areas for Japanese tournaments and he doesn't seem to have the money to fly himself to overseas events regularly.

Oh, the buffs have nothing to do with it.

Pepeday is a blue collar worker who lives in the middle of bumblefuck with nobody to really play fighting games with. He droved 5 hours to TGS just so he can play top players and see how he does against them. That day forever changed his life.

"That character is not [insert fighting game franchise title here]" has got to be one of my bigger pet peeves since diving into the genre. This conversation is funny though.

Oh, the buffs have nothing to do with it.

He has a strong grasp of the fundamentals needed to win with his character. The other strong Fuertes who have done very well in the past don't seem to be doing any better with the buffs. That would suggest Pepeday is better than them and on a very high level of play. Character buffs alone aren't enough to get as good as Pepeday has. It's a similar situation to Luffy most likely, a character specialist who has been placing very well so people attribute it to buffs rather than the player. A few buffs won't take you from an OK player to someone who steamrolls top players.

Edit: The players who adapted to him do well while those who haven't get beat by the same things they did the first time.

Keep crying it's hilarious, if furte is sooooooo easy to win with and op go win with him
If you read, you'd see I didn't say he's easy to win with or he's winning majors.

All I said is that pepeday has come up since.

Which is true.

I generally don't believe in coincidence, but YMMV.

He never had a chance to prove himself until recently. There are a lot of pretty good Japanese players that could compete if they had a chance but they can't because of lack of money. With that said, fuck Fuerte as well. I like Pepe, I even like watching his Fuerte. But man do I hate playing against the character.

You basically said pepeday isn't good. If pepeday wasn't good he wouldn't be able to play furte at high level. You sound like a butthurt ass baby. Go win a major with furte if it's such a low skill character that's super OP. I mean shouldn't take long to learn to do!

I understand the complaint about him not fitting street fighter design. But I'm not going to cry about a grappler losing to rock paper scissors.

Adapting to hyper ambiguous crap has been part of SF for awhile. Claw vs 90% of the cast in Super Turbo looks ridiculous and 3s has plenty of guessing games.

Xiao Hai is looking pretty weak this set. Wonder if he'll switch to Yun or Cammy.

I didn't basically say anything, I exactly said "pepeday is overrated" . I can go quote myself if you'd like.

And I think he is overrated. The second Elf loses those buffs he'll be forgotten. Unless he switches characters.

And the rebuttal of "go win a major" is pretty glib.

To Daigo, it was just another day in the Madcatz Penthouse.

The (vanilla) SF4 new characters are all very vortexy- they consistently take you from one guess situation into another and are very aggressive.
