Sent, don't expect much from my USF4 play, dropped off significantly since XRD came out.

There's communities for everything. You just have to find them online on their appropriate forums. Did you check Killer Instinct GAF ?
I don't know how big the KI scene really is. It's the least talked about game here in FGW---even compared to old school fighters. I hear more about Vampire Savior, Virtua Fighters, and even JoJo's Bizarre Adventure over KI.

It still has quite a few players online, the last time I checked it out about a month ago. Seems like it has all skill levels, may be a little rough if you're brand new but nowhere near as rough as say SF4 or Tekken Tag 2 would be if you were to pick them up now.

Personally I'd settle for an HD release of Rival Schools 2+Hyo and Raizo from RS1.

Isn't that wavedashing? Dno shit about marvel but I think that's how it was done in 2.
That's wavedashing. Plink dashing is as Csr described a couple posts ago. There are varying methods and some playing use a dedicated L+M+H button to make it more consistent.

This is the optimal way of doing it, you can get option select grab if you hold a direction. Its what makes facing mags at the 99 second mark annoying.
Its definitely a timing thing, I don't know how it is on stick (I imagine its easier) but on controllers its kinda tough to get the timing down without some practice. With sticks, since the buttons don't have different sensitivities, you can just press them in a pattern as if you were playing a piano. Now I'm starting to see the pluses into having a stick when I'm trying to breach the gatekeeper status in Marvel, thankfully there are other pad warriors out there who do it.

I am gif-less for anything that properly expresses how much I want this one singular thing more than any other vs sequel. This and Marvel vs DC is the end game of fighters for me.
