Yeah, I see the community moving to different venues before dying. Happened in America, it can happen there.

Honestly I can't and won't count pockets of the businesses but I don't see it as an actual threat to the community, even if they might prefer one venue.

One thing to keep in mind is that copyright violations in Japan are a criminal matter. So locations in the US that use console games in a commercial manner when they are not licensed to would face, at worst, civil action (if it would ever come to that -- at worst, you would probably see a Cease & Desist letter). Whereas trying to do something like that in Japan could very well lead to jail time for the operator, so I can't see anyone ever trying it.

if japanese arcades are starting to die then why wouldn't they just start charging admission fees and letting players play on console for as long as they like? the very same players that only play at arcades could still play arcade style set ups.

People on PC aren't that good tbh lol. Most of the good players just do endless, if you're lucky, you can probably find one.

In AE2012 I got 5k PP in one night by just beating some 4k PP player endlessly. He was terrible. PC skill level is jokes.

Also do you mean Mu-12? She's naked.

The sad thing about online play is that if and when you reach the very top of it, it doesn't mean anything and it's unlikely you'll accomplish anything you haven't already. Just get to the top, find out who those players are, and ask for player matches for long sets... Exactly the same thing you could do now, without all the silly grinding and stress.

The only real gripe for the forum is the OP in the vid thread is out of date, but just scroll through the thread. The combo thread is mostly up to date, but anything else you need Mo has probably filled in there somewhere.

Edit: Looking at my list, I'd move SLab up to that 3rd tier. After Bananaken went in on her,m she's basically an entirely new character that is unholy. He's going to slaughter anybody who's not familiar with him.

Not too late. The online is still really active, despite tournament numbers being low. Post Evo there should be a new balance update coming to consoles at some point too. If anybody ever wants to play and has a decent connection, I'll play some.

It's weird about the activity in the game, like I asked certain people why they're focusing on Persona when numbers are down at events, and it's because they can go online and get good matches really often. It's a good game to play if you're wanting to play something online.

you play in USA? In Europe PC player skill level is higher. Or so I've heard.

Yeah. Maybe so, but oh well! I'm not trying to brag (I'm not particularly good at SF4), I just want to say my experience was "wow, this skill level is much lower than Xbox Li- oh neat it's ToolAssisted"

On PC there's a handful of decent-good players.. but for the most part it's just grinding on terrible players and picking apart bad habits. It sounds like you've experienced this. Are you East / West coast? I'm pretty bad at P4U but I do like the game a lot and play a super fraudulent Narukami (and that's it >.>)

I'm in TN, I can play with Midwest/Southern/EC pretty well, when it gets to Canada and WC though things start to get shaky

I never tried that. I've only used it to make DS4 work on Xbox one. Usually works fine, but I'll try that out later.

People want good matches. I think folks will put up a bit of lag just to not have to go to events for various reasons. Maybe they don't like the smell of anime rooms, don't like the nature of some competitive players, there are lots of reasons why folks would prefer their couch to the FGC.

I think SFV regionals are going to suffer a bit if SFV's online delivers.

I stopped playing ranked, after learning the game a little more, people flowchart so hard lol. Looked back at the stream playing BB and your right... Its almost insane how they're only covering her crotch and breast. This game got a rated T rating?
