I understand that and I think it would be foolish of MS to get worried right now based on how their games are selling. Anything they sell along with Game Pass is a bonus. Yes it will impact how they use to do business but they are trying to move people towards Game Pass, a sub based business that they have started. They are trying to make it work and finding success isn't guaranteed. So I guess my point is, I think MS most likely accounted for a lot of this.I wouldn't be surprised if this Indy game cost $200 million after you include gave development, marketing, and licensing cost. That money HAS to be made back. And Gamepass subs just don't cut it. We know that at this point.
MS isn't working under a different economy here within the industry. The days of sales don't matter are over for Xbox. That goes for both hardware and software.

I mean, anyone who is serious about starting a business, and expects it to be successful, giving up at the first sign of trouble would be foolish, right? MS also has the money and the means to push for it. Nothing is infinite so if it doesn't work at all, we know MS isn't afraid to shut things down, e.g. Zune, etc.
