I actually have been messing around with more teams, but I rarely play the game now. There are teams that I want to get good with, but I don't have the time.

VJoe/Frank/Shuma is one of those teams. It's so much fun, but that execution and knowledge...

That team sounds frustrating to learn. Beef plays Joe and man is it annoying when lag is involved, you can barely grab the little bugger! You should play more mahvel, its a great game.

DO NOT complain!

I'd rather face bullet hell then deal with Zero's braindead mixups on incoming Dahbomb, at least for one of them I can block!

These are generally the franchises that I'd typically buy a new game from.
If the character I don't like's not in a game in the franchise, I probably won't own it, but I'd still generally follow the scene and stuff. Though I'm into Super Smash Bros for non-competitive reasons, so that's not the case there.
That's not the only reason I wouldn't get a game, but probably my 2nd biggest reason.

You have to admit there's consistency there. I think it's the most consistent theme I've seen thus far!

used my ps4 money on a new laptop. i might skip this gen most likely. don't see myself buying a ps4 just for sf5.

I might do the same too. Laptops are just more comfortable for gaming. Just gotta hold out for as long as possible. Four core intel laptops with dedicated Nvidia GPUs aren't cheap. Bloodborne and Uncharted are the biggest games standing in the way of that.

After that comes VR and a whole new round of GPUs. Consoles aren't looking quite as appetizing as they used to. If we're lucky vanilla Xrd will finally be released around the time SFV launches. It'll be a good time to upgrade to a laptop.

EDIT: This was all more than a decade ago, btw. Once CvS2 dropped, nearly all of us dropped GG entirely. I only stayed with GG for so long because it was one of the few games I was beatable in, and I liked making my friends happy.

Those reasons are why I want to play it.

I played ST for a few weeks 2 months ago and it was so fun. What I really enjoy about this game :

1. Matches are going fast
2. There's so much damage it's ok to lose and try again
3. The game is fast and fun. Damn just play Ryu in ST with sweep light tatsu dancing... <3
4. All things are tight and hard but not that complicated to be honest. The hardest thing is reversals between light attacks.
5. Footsies are soooo much harder but so much fun. I remember doing 20 matches Ryu vs Zangief and the spot between being too close and too far was so small but so vital you HAVE to keep it and it makes the game much more demanding... And fun.
