There's still some HDR players around. Half of them are lag switchers and the other five of them are probably too much for a beginner to play.

Fightcade has plenty of people with plenty of different skill ranges. I'd go with that. And good luck with the tick throws. That's won't get you too far, so mix it up. The ggpo netcode makes reversing much easier to time than what you may be used to.

Also... The controls are frustrating. Make a conscious effort to hit the directions every time, and they'll come out. But there isn't much leniency in the timing. I won't be on for another week probably but I think my fightcade name is moth. We can play whenever you see me on.

Yeah. But ST and 3rd strike have a bunch more people from what I remember. Plus you can learn how to get out of a setup, not an infinite.

Edit: I've always thought it'd be fun to get FGW together to play some games on fightcade that might never really get played. Like a weekly thing. I don't know shit about most of the fighting games on there but I'll play them with everyone else.

I beat it already and I'll gladly disagree just on the merit that you are comparing a single player game to a multiplayer game. It's a great game though.

I was prepared to support Melty if they did a console port since I bought the PS2 LE of MBAA.

Wasn't going to buy an anime for Current Code since I didn't have a PC available to play it.

Carnival Phantasm is godlike though.

I tend to lean towards weird, unique and/or goofy characters. I also get turned off on playing a character if they're especially high tier. If I see them every dang time I watch a tournament, why would I feel the need to play them?

Sweet, I'm gonna get started on that by next week and learn some ST. Seems like a bare bones marvel without assist or x-factor, just straight up cheapness lol

I'm finally hitting the labs for UNIEL. I... can see what everyone was talking about with Akatsuki. Half the cast has like up to half the screen as a hitbox, but this dude has to be within first-base dating distance of everyone to get something going.

With that said, I'm really liking Yuzu and Carmine. Yuzu dresses like an even more anime Kokonoe, but for some reason, I don't instantly hate her like Koko.

it absolutely would but i've given up on that dream. i was going to skip last gen too but mvc3 pulled me back. in other news i watched season 1 of the wire and it was pretty damn good.

I would love to name 98UM and 2002UM teams, but I haven't played it enough. So far I'm going with:

98UM - Heavy D, Brian, Orochi Chris
2002UM - May Lee, Angel, Nameless

Yeah, I know nameless is good, but every house needs a bread winner.

VJoe/Frank/Shuma is one of those teams. It's so much fun, but that execution and knowledge...
