Schedule and rules:
Day 1: Saturday, May 14
Will start at 5 PM French time (4 UK, 11AM EC, 8AM WC), finish around 11PM French time (10 UK, 5PM EC, 2PM WC).
There will be two pools, each of them will be played in round robin, FT3.
Pool A: Alioune, Valmaster, MBR, Problem X, Duppsko
Pool B: Luffy, Will2Pac, CCL, Packz, Phenom
1st and 2nd of each pool are qualified for the final pool on Sunday. The third of each pool will face each other in a "playoff" FT5, winner being qualified to the final pool
Day 2: Sunday, May 15
Will start at 5 PM French time (4 UK, 11AM EC, 8AM WC), finish around 11PM French time (10 UK, 5PM EC, 2PM WC).
Final pool starts, round robin with 5 players, format is FT5 with a little extra: winner MUST have a 2 points lead. So for example if we reach 4 - 4, someone must win two matches in a row to get 6-4 and win the set. At the Kakutop FR, Luffy won after a long 10-8 against Cuongster's Cammy for example ! It's always pretty hype. Think tennis tiebreak rules.

BX3 | Phenom (Norway)
LLL | MBR (Netherlands)
CCL (Belgium)
PXP | Problem X (England)
PERILOUS | Packz (England)

That's it! I try to list as many as I can, if you have a tournament you want to highlight, please post it in the thread!
Note: If you have an interest in discussing the Fighting Game Community, consider joining the Fighting Game Community thread where we try to talk about what is happening in the FGC.
As always, if you see an infographic for a FGC tournament, it was likely made by acekingoffsuit. The guy makes stream schedules for every major tournament and he does it for free. You can find his twitter account here: https://twitter.com/acekingoffsuit
Also, Malice215's FGC Calendar was used to help get more information on tournaments. Malice215 (also a gaffer) spends much of his free time maintaining the FGC Calendar Malice215's twitter for his FGC Calendar is https://twitter.com/fgcevents_

Player Profiles:
-----PXP Problem X (UK): no need to introduce this guy anymore. Was among the best at USFIV, probably the only player in Europe who consistently challenged and beat Luffy, and confirming his skill on SFV winning Hypespotting + getting third at Frogbyte with a deadly Bison that I urge everyone to watch and reconsider American tier lists
Perilous Packz (UK): those who watch the London weekly (Bracket Reset, on every Thursday 9PM UK time!) know him: He was a very strong Cody player in IV, now Karin in V, putting in work, won a few weeklies (beating Problem X in the process) + got top 8 at Hypespotting and Frogbyte, two EU CPT events.
Bx3 Phenom (Norway): Another Bison in there, using Necalli as a counterpick, second at Cannes Winter Clash, won Frogbyte, good CPT track record in both IV and V, and also super platinum AND sponsored!
CCL (Belgium): One of the EU OGs coming back with SFV. Belgian player, was very strong at third strike, pretty good at IV although he never really got serious in it and kept playing 3s... Now uses Chun and Cammy in V, got a couple of good performances in tournaments as well
MBR (Netherlands): Former SFIV Akuma player, among the best in Europe, back on SFV with a strong Ryu! Got 5th at the Red Bull Kumite qualifier recently.
Duppsko (Norway): Probably this weekend's wildcard. He was a rather solid SFIV player but never really traveled... Now plays a strong Birdie, had good showings (Top 8 @ Frogbyte), time for him to confirm!
Alioune (France): do I really need to introduce him? One of the most known technical players around, among the best at pretty much every game he played (Marvel, SFIV, SFxT, Xrd, UNIEL...), with a scarily good Chun-Li, finally back on the traveling life with SFV!
RB|Luffy: Is he back? The former USFIV Evo champ showed good signs by winning the French Kakutop, a week after going 0-2 at Red Bull Kumite. Is he looking forward to start his domination on the French scene before moving forward just like he did on IV? Big test for him and his lame R.Mika this weekend!
Melty|Will2Pac: Also known as "Le toops", one of these hype French players people enjoy watching, comes back from America with a strong performance at Dreamhack Austin, getting top 8 beating both Julio and LPN, his Laura took second place at Kakutop FR, granting him qualification to the main one!
YP|Valmaster: Yes, we are actually allowed to mention YP. So let me say it one more time. Team YP's very own Valmaster will be there after taking third place at Kakutop FR, second at the RBK qualifier. Although we've seen him mostly with Necalli, Kakutop FR was a surprise as he finally picked Chun-Li!
