Note: If you have an interest in discussing the Fighting Game Community, consider joining the Fighting Game Community thread where we try to talk about what is happening in the FGC.

As always, if you see an infographic for a FGC tournament, it was likely made by acekingoffsuit. The guy makes stream schedules for every major tournament and he does it for free. You can find his twitter account here: https://twitter.com/acekingoffsuit

Also, Malice215's Stream schedule was used to help get more information on tournaments. Malice215 (also a gaffer) spends much of his free time maintaining the stream schedule Malice215's twitter for is https://twitter.com/stsched

I hope John Takeuchi wins this thing however the amount of killers there makes it feel unlikely to happen. I would like to see a Rashid at Capcom Cup.

Hmm, I was wrong. Only 88 people managed to sign up for the 128 man bracket.

Were people unaware or was it a lack of interest? I mean anybody with even 0 points could hypothetically put themselves in contention to tie for the final Asian spot.

30 minutes sign up at like 9 am is ridiculous. They should have had signups for like a week or something.

Tokido lost to Chris Wong. The last round was pretty sloppy.

What is Tokido even doing in this tournament? Is he actually there to gatekeep people so that maybe someone like Bonchan can win FV Cup and get the 2nd Asian spot without worrying about the winner of the online tournament? That would actually be kind of funny if true.

Might be to get into the Asia finals for the money. Anyone trying to qualify via the regional finals over there has their work cut out for them. That tournament is stacked.

So a lot of players in this online tournament can get into Capcom Cup with a win.

Asia rankings (not including global spots)
1. Kazunoko 183 points (285)
2. Tse4 128 points

There are 3 more regional finals and 1 more premier event left so only 4 more global spots up for grabs.
The players in prime position to get in via global points
1. Chris T (386)
2. Mister Crimson (361)
3. Yukadon (330)
4. KBrad (328)

128 points is what you get for winning a ranking event. Taking that into account the Asian regional finals can drastically change by

1.Kazunoko winning FV Cup giving himself a global leaderboard spot, which opens up an asian spot
2. Tse drowns in pools at FV Cup, making it so the winner of the online event ties him in points. What is the tie breaker?

Kazunoko wins means whoever wins the online ranking event gets in I think.

I fell asleep during the two tournaments last night. So after all that Kazunoko and MOV won? How disappointing, those two were getting in no matter what. No drama at all for one of the final remaining spots. Unless someone tells me that Xiaohu or Saunic got 2nd place at FV then nothing changed. Tse4444 got into Capcom Cup with one great run and pretty much nothing else.

EDIT: On the other hand, maybe something interesting did happen. I don't know if the points are updated yet but I assume they're not. So if that's the case then Kazunoko moves past CCL and FChamp for a Global spot, which knocks out CCL back to a regional spot. Which then knocks out Problem X I think. A pretty interesting end after all if that's the case.
