Thanks for the response guys, I'll definitely put some work into Timothy then, I don't even have a breaker right now. (I think.)

Decided to spend some more tickets and got:

4* Chizuru
4* Setzer
4* Veritas of the Earth (I'm using WoL currently...)

It's been so long since I've played, I'm not even sure who the desirable units are currently. I know last time I played Chizuru was pretty good, but probably outclassed by now.

Setzer is a very good chainer. EV is good but there's no hurry,l since you already have WoL. Chizuru, I'm not sure where she fits in the chaining meta right now, only redeeming factor for her is the TM.

The hardest part is having 30 free spots in your unit bix for the cactuars haha.

Goddammit, i can't use my shiny new toys because we don't have a cheap/fast way to level units :( need permanent dunes.

1*sylvia
1*veritas of the wind
1*ayaka
1*cloud (need a finisher to replace luneth/randi)

No need for anymore chainers.

Thanks for the response. My current team consists of:

5* Warrior of Light
6* Firion
5* Beach Time Fina (best healer I had access to, looking to replace with my newly acquired Luka?)
4* Minfilia
4* Rikku

4* Xon -- I use him mainly for the AoE steal, gotta get those extra awakening mats.

25k Lapis, ~15 tickets

1 rainbow
all the 4 and 3* banner units (tons of that little fairy kid and 4 Earth Veritas)

Rainbow unit was....Orlandu.

I mean I'm ok with it since I hadn't gotten him yet, but I just can't help but be a teeny weeny bit bummed out. Ah well, it's better than 0 rainbow.

Got EV, 2 Victoria, 2 Timothy from 9 tickets + daily. I guess there's always the 10+1 we get next week. I'd be more happy about getting EV, but I already have every last other tank unit at 6* fully potted out.

Well that challenge was...not a challenge. 1HKO easy with 2 Fry and an Olive whom I don't even know if her attack mattered. Didn't care about the currency as I already bought everything and still sitting at 120k so screw that 11 round thing.

Decide to do 20 More pull and i got 0 banner and 1 rainbow. It is Lunera.
Man, 1 year and still no base 5* physical chainer.
Why can't it be Tidus, Orlandu, Aileen or even Fohlen.

well it is still a rainbow though.

Got a nice spot of luck in another game I play so I decided to roll the dice and dropped $100 on Amazon Coins for another 3 tries at Veritas of the Dark.

First 5k...

At least I have some resources now in case Nier is next week! 390 lapis and 0 tickets was not a great base to get 9S.

Final count was 54 normal tickets, 4 10+1 pulls, 10 EX tickets, 1 EX 4* ticket, then one more 10+1. Not so bad relative to Hippo and Yoshi's spate of unluck, but pretty damaging to a... whatever's between a dolphin and a whale. Can I be a manta ray?

edit: still no Veritas of the Earth, and only one Victoria. 9S is going to be painful.

Daily and a ticket were Garnet and Amarant. Lol what a horrible start. I won't spend more than that a day until announcements. Sorry everyone else seems to be having bad luck too.

Meanwhile 10 tickets and a multi got me 0 rainbows, 5 Tim's and 4 Victorias. RNG gonna RNG. RNG better fucking bless me next week with 2B!

Ayyyee, congrats dude. Glad it worked out in the end.

Also I know how it is with on banners yellows. When I did 4 multis for Aileen I got 20 yellow crystals and not a single Sozhe. Not that I really wanted him but he was the only on banner 4* so I expected at least one lol.

So guys, I was looking at Earth Veritas' kit, he's actually pretty fucking solid, no pun intended.

I'm kinda in a weird position right now, since I pulled both him and Wilhelm today, what's the consensus on best tank at the moment?

Clicked BE this morning and did a daily. Still half asleep. Got Timothy. I was like oh okay I did click GL. Nope. Realized when I backed out I'm in JP. Maybe it's just celebrating this banner for me today in JP too.

I've noticed some people want two Victoria. For chaining I'm assuming?
But as a magic chainer can she even dual wield with whatever skill it is? So is she even that effective?

Her chain move is an ability that doesn't benefit from DW so yeah it's not going to build that high. It does have a very nice damage increase though (up to 7x). She's also only the second non 5* magic chainer so still a big deal. She's a pretty darn good mage outside of the chain move too.

But I DID pull Flame Veritas on like my 12th ticket pulls. I used about 50 tickets ultimately.

So........rather below average, all things said.


I'm happy about Flame Veritas but really wanted Dark. Man, that 3% Rainbow change can't come soon enough.

I feel if we already had it I would have gotten 3 rainbows today instead of 1.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I remember reading that with the 3% change comes a decreased chance of getting banner 5* units. Is that the case?

No, today we have 1% rainbow chance and half of that is dedicated to the banner units. In case of double 5* banners we have 0,5% chance of getting any of them and 0,25% chance of getting a specific one.

With the rates change we will have 3% chance of getting rainbows, with 1% dedicated to banner units. So in case of double 5* banners, we will have 0,5% chance of getting a specific one, two times what we have today.

Indeed it is. They decreased the rate to 33% banner per rainbow instead of 50%.

But overall, you'd still have a higher chance of getting banner units because of the 3% increase. From 1/200 chance of getting bannner 5* to 1/100, that's double rate up.
