So yes, not PS3 quality
Crazy that the 4 year old PS3 version is still the best one then.

Um maybe my eyes are not good but I don't see the difference.
They aren't uncompressed. They take up so much space because it's not just the full blown CGI cutscenes that are pre-rendered. A lot of the in game cutscenes are as well. On top of that there's also the dual audio, and because the lip syncing is different for English and Japanese, they essentially have to include two of everything.
They were. Best looking videos encodes I've seen in any game too.Hit enter in your url bar to get the images to display.
I always thought the CG videos were 1080p in the PS3 version. They looked pretty darn good to me. Does this mean that the videos here are stuck at 720p too?
The port's so stupid though that every time you restart the game you have to reselect the option.
Can't wait for TotalBiscuit's inevitable rant about SE after this.

It picks up my 360 controller fine and you have to manually change the prompts to joypad in the settings.

Square Seriously ???
I refuse to run it in windowed mode. FIX THIS SHIT SE!
So the game won't install because .net framework 3.5 isn't installed and won't install. That's great.
So I can either not play it or wait for a crack and play a dirty version of the game I own without that problem.
Man this release bummed me out.
He's talking about this:
Hmm I don't see power management options in the nvidia control panel...
Are you on a laptop?
Or do you mean the power options in windows control panel:
Dual audio and 60fps confirmed...I can't imagine a world in which those things are true, yet the game maxes out at 720p.
But SE is nothing if not a perpetual disappointment.
Still crossing my fingers.
Are you guys forcing your card to do AF and AA?
Yes, however I can't seem to find a way to exit the game using a controller. It looks like hitting "escape" is the only way for now.
I suppose that's what they meant by "partial controller support."
Crazy that the 4 year old PS3 version is still the best one then.

Framerate is all over the place, such a bad port jeez!
So, best way to experience FFXIII is still ps3?

Likewise , i do not doubt that the quality is inferior than the PS3 version but no matter how long i stare at both pictures , i do not see a difference , try as i might .

Wait what? was there an easy mode on here I can't remember seeing that
Are you in a computer or a tablet/phone? The difference is clear, there is blocking and loss of detail.
