There are slight stat variations but GC gear seems to be mostly worthless compared to dungeon gear anyway.

Anyone have tips for the quest, think its "Ruler of the inferno"?
its level 21-22.
I either go after the henchmen and they just keep coming, or I go after the main guy and the henchmen kill all the assistant NPCs and then attack me in a large group.

thats it.
the very start. first time I went for the boss guy but it took so long I was eventually killed when they grouped up.
2nd time I tried killing the henchmen first but they keep coming.

Looks like the solo portion just before you end up in the cave.
For that part, I mostly killed the ranged lizardmen. It's important to kill their mages right away, because they will heal the other lizardmen fighting the NPCs. Then I killed the archers. I actually stayed away from the main fight between the NPCs and the boss lizardman and his pals because the NPCs were doing just fine on their own as long as the lizardmen couldn't get healed.
try staying close to ally NPC so they don't attack you as much. Don't attack the boss and try to get the other ones. I think you need to hold out until certain time iirc. Try using hi-potion if you have.

This is going to prob be a dumb question but how do i reset attribute points?

It's not possible during phase 3. They'll implement an item to reset attribute points in phase 4.

Yeah, so far everyone I've talked to guild member or not has been very nice. I've only run into two tanks on my many dungeon runs who weren't necessarily mean, but just annoyingly arrogant.
I expect many of my Ultros brethren to be checking the forums and the client on the hour, every hour to see when the game goes back up and inform me, do not disappoint me! >:O

Well, when this thing comes back up, could someone who can invite me into the FC again? My other toons got nuked. Was planning on using this set of tests to finally decide which race/gender I want to roll with. =D Galka male, Galka female or Lalafell Male.

Now i do have another question. Playing a conjurer and I've been running with a staff yet i heard people on reddit and a few other sites that conjurer's should run with Wand and Shield while leveling up until level 30 i think it was that i read. Just wondering if someone here can give me some insight on this.

That's really the toughest thing about a game where everyone has all the classes and the character creator is pretty good. Makes me wish you got to design your own companion or two to be in a party with you for plot stuff.

Both casters have a 1 hand and 2 handed weapon
Play what ever gives you the highest healing.
Sometimes a staffs magic power will shit all over the bonus stats from a sheild.

Anyone know what it means when you get a "You could not log in because that service account has been cancelled." message when you try to login to the beta forums?
I have been getting this message the past few weeks, and I have no clue what it's suppose to mean. I used to play the original 1.0 version, and I played a bit during Beta Phase 1. I haven't canceld my account or anything like that. I did re-apply for the beta a few weeks back when I first saw this message thinking it was because of that, but now I'm not sure.

Duty Finder is quite nifty, but I don't like that the party dissolves right after the bossfight. Its not the most social feature it seems.
Went back up an hour and a half ago I'd say.

What's your character name? I'll be on in a few minutes, so you can send a /tell to Bubble Gum for an invite or drop your character name here in the thread. All members currently have invite permissions so you can also ask any other member you run into out in the world, though they may not know how to send an invite or may need to figure it out.
While I have not played any of the Final Fantasy MMORPGs since the PS2 beta of FFXI, replaying FFV has made me interested in playing a game with jobs again. I spent all my day off watching the cutscenes from 1.0 on Youtube. I already preordered FFXIV but I am impatient. I don't want to crap up the tIf anyone has a key for the NA PC beta they can part with, I would be willing to gift a $10 game on steam for it.
