Care to give examples? Coz ps4(not the pr0) had 1,8tf gpu and jaguar cpu, pc equivalent to that back in 2014-2016 was basically this:

aka cheapest i3 with 2c/4t and oced 750ti

Ps5 is by no means juggernaut in 2025 but still its well above that, same with pc equivalent tech, its way above i3 and 750ti from 2014

Yes we will always find exceptions but general standard is- if game looks literally like last gen game at least it has higher res(aka much better image quality) and on top often it has 60fps mode.

To not look far look how staggering difference there is between not crossgen but actual current gen game that later got downported to last gen:

You will get path tracing and 30 fps with frame pacing issues instead. It will look UNREAL. And yes, you won't be satisfied.

He is right! I don't want a ps6. PS5 has hardly no exclusives and it has plenty of power potential. I am talking base ps5 not the pro.
I play at 1080p so maybe I am just not seeing the need 4k people deal with?

I'd rather more good games, and return to classic franchises. Killzone, Resistance, Uncharted (starting N. Drake, not some daughter), Warhawk, Infamous, Motorstorm, Twisted Metal, Colony Wars, Socom, Sly cooper, Wild Arms, Legend of Dragoon, Dark Cloud, Heavenly Sword, Medieval, Bloodborne, etc...

Until then switch 2 has me more pumped than any system as Nintendo has been off the charts with making and releasing new games, compared to the "hd twins".

I dont think they are needed, the next photorealistic UE5/6 game will still stutter and work awfully, they will just say, "Yolo, let the 256 petabytes of ram handle it... and if it doesnt, we will patch it (they wont)"

For me, there needs to be a big leap forward. The jump from Xbox One to Series X was huge due to load times, but graphically it's not that impressive. What else can the next Xbox offer that isn't already possible on a Series X?

I agree with his opinion. For example the Ps5 is a very good hardware, and it still has allot of untapped potentials. But wasted by Sony themselves with all that woke infested Gaas flop, and porting exclusives to other platforms which makes it pointless to own Ps5 or in the future Ps6. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Stellar blade, DS2 and Astrobot but that is just about it, it is so few choices of exclusives.

About xbox series, they wasted all that power of xbox series x, and bad decision of having a lower version series S which obligated developers to always create an inferior series S version, and game pass which was a double edge sword that even hurt allot of developers in terms of sale. MSxbox wasted there momentum from xbox 360 success, from there xbox live and great exclusives.

Nintendo is the only platform that remained very based and very strong with great exclusives that stays exclusive and games are so fun and beautiful in a simple way, that is why Nintendo is the best seller around the world especially in Japan, Nintendo is very much untouchable.

Really, PS5 and Xbox's gen doesn't start until GTA 6 is out. Then they have at least 5 more years or more after it releases. Why they're throwing in the towel now makes no sense! Both of those consoles are still more powerful than the Switch 2! It's strange when pricing, marketing and games did this generation of consoles in! You would think the big three could at least get those right!
