how do you craft the base weapons for relic reborn??
the ones up on market are kinda expensive ' .'

Need a level 50 Crafter (This depends on the Job, PLD and MRD need a blacksmith), plus a base item that drops in Wanderer's Palace and other regents that depend on the type of weapon you're trying to make.

Here's Leolin!

Although, as some of you may know it is my wife playing about 95% of the time. We're on the PS3 and usually I'm sitting next to her on the wireless keyboard typing when necessary. What sucks about that though is when you hit X on the controller it's the same as pressing enter, so half sentences pop up. So if you've ever seen random gibberish pop up on the FC that's why. Either that or I'm drunk.

Nope only the base item, for paladin is the Blunt Aeolian Scimitar, which is normal quality and a crafter needs to turn into a green quality Aeolian Scimitar. Once it's green quality you need to meld the two battledance materia(which also require a level 50 BSM)

I don't know why I never got Physick for my THM/BKM sooner. I'm at level 30 now so will it be useful to heal me now and later on in levels

I'm waiting for it to get nerfed away, at least from BLM. "No more cures" was supposed to be the tradeoff, but Physick is more than servicable for soloing and even helps keep the tank up in a pinch.

How the heck did you guys get to 50? Just... just... how??? I feel like I've devoted about 40-50 hours to the game and I am only a meager 22vl THM with no professions or second class yet lol.

My second service account stuff has been fixed. I feel like I should cry.

Holy shit I never been so frustrated by customer support before. Sure, they're not always helpful, but worst case scenario is "deal with it". This "keep trying forever with no success for days, but please keep trying" is a horrible situation.

Most (all?) of the base items can also be acquired from lvl 45 leves for the crafting job that creates the final weapon. I've gotten the monk, bard, black mage, and warrior items from leves so far, I assume the rest can be acquired in this manner.

I'm impressed that you've spend that much time with that little amount of leveling. Unless...you're an afker.

how do the crafting leves work? do you have to be 45 in the specific profession or just general level?

12 hours a day since open beta a few weeks ago with the exception of weekdays which was work so only 7 hours a day. Total playtime so far 130+ hours. God that's a bit depressing

For me it was Phase 4 get 3-4 classes to 15+
Then Early Access to push me around 35+ in one class
Then by the end of the week finished it up

Main Story, a few side quests, FATE's (I have roughly 900+ Already!) can get you there real quick

If you want to be powerleveled FATE's are essential
Just get in a party with random and go hunting

Best pure FATE Farming ecstasy is Costa del Sol, 30-35, you can get all 5 levels in 6 hours tops
Earn 15K in Seals too

Must have taken up to 80 hours or so for myself. I was reading all quest dialogue etc.

I think the Blunt scimtar was a Palace drop from what I've been hearing. That said, I was hired in town to do it recently for someone.

?

Nah the 40 hours are playtime. Maybe I am exaggerating.. I'd say closer to 25? I was overlevelled but because I didn't do story quests I didn't get the cool dungeons and shit so I've been doing them for the past 5+ hours. I think I'll soon get my mount.

I don't even want to think about how much time I've put into the game/this character since Beta 4. All I know is that I haven't been this hooked on an MMO since LOTRO. I'm glad the /timeplayed command doesn't work.

Same, someone tipped me 10k to craft and meld their sword on Saturday lol. I HQ'd it easily but I don't think that matters since the double meld can't fail? I will have to do some more investigation of making these weapons tomorrow night! I don't think they will be very lucrative on legacy servers due to the abundance of crafters (1star recipes take very little effort to gear up for), but it's worth looking into. If nothing else, I'm happy to take that kind of tip.

I'm in the same boat. I only have MRD at 25 and LNC at 23. I have no idea how these guys do it... too bad there is no /playtime so we can really see how long they have been playing!

Surprised lodestone doesn't have a timer.

You need two things to make the weapon, a gathered item, and a drop from a dungeon. then you need two level 3 materia to make the weapon that you'll then upgrade. i put a few of the dungeon drops up on the AH and i have the ones needed for my drg, mnk and brd

i'm glad. i fear what it would be.

I've put in about 170 hours already. Just did the math. If I had no job it would have been about 270

Confessions

The Lannisters (Adamantoise)... are actually good people. They might stomp out every Fate in Ul'dah but if you're ever in a group with them, you're going to have a great time.

Limits are made to be Broken. I'm sorry that I'm a DPS and my world is simple and happy when things die faster. I'm sorry. I don't know what else to do :(

I don't like little people.

I'm that douche in the marketplace that sees your Iron Sallet on sale for 500g and puts up 3 Iron Sallets for 499g minutes later.

You need to have the craft at that level.

I believe they come from both.

D: I was tipped 5k :/

My toon:

Because who needs chest covering, I'm a DPS damn it.

Wish I had an img of my previous armor, which was essentially a loincloth and short chaps along with this chest piece. Friggen looked like Spartacus. I can't imagine it was too comfortable running around Coerthas like that. Heh.

Some random images from about 15-20 levels back:

La Noscea is friggen gorgeous. I'm amazed at how good some of these areas that you spend absolutely NO time in look. I mean goddamn.
