I have to agree with you Memles. The past two trailers have just had a very disjointed pace. Who the hell is cutting them?

Still, I'm sure the film is going to be awesome.

Yeah, I have to agree the trailer itself is not that good. The Finding Nemo was a perfect trailer with the ocean tour, coming above the water to show the skyline and ending on the quiet scene at night with the 2 seagulls. That was a well paced trailer. Still, this looks very cool. The character squeezing in the car looked hilarious and there's a ton of great moments in the trailer. Really can't wait to see it and you know with Brad Bird it's going to be a lot deeper film than it appears right now.

Speaking of disjointed trailers, Shrek 2 had a trailer I really didnt like but I ended up liking the movie a lot

Everytime a new Pixar movie is about to come out, the trailers don't interest me at all and I think this is going to finally be the first Pixar movie that sucks. This one is no different.

But still, I'm sure that, just like every other time, I'll love it once I see it.

This trailer, at its essence, is paced much more like a trailer for an action picture. It focuses not on the kids (Which the TV ads seem to) and not on the plot (Syndrome, the villian, is only seen once) but instead on the situations. It focuses on how fat he is (Twice) gives us an idea of Sam Jackson's character, and is generally just a whole bunch of clips thrown together.

This trailer is not for the kids, it is purely for the adults. It is not telling a story, but instead just showing off its assets. There is nothing but a very short view on the kids, and then it's nothing but parents the rest of the way.

This is a trailer to bring in the adults, and parents, not a trailer to bring in the kids; they will be relying on the TV commercials and maybe even other trailers for that.

Yeah, that reasoning makes sense - I don't think there aren't many movies being released in the next few months you can put this in front of and have lots of kids see it.

Other than its competition (Shark Tale).

The Incredibles doesn't even need a trailer...considering that most signs point to the Episode III teaser appearing in front of it, it'll do just fine.

Looks awesome in my opinion. I'm completely skipping Shark Tale... I just think it looks awful. I'm willing to bet that Dreamworks' next film will be about superheroes too.

yeah, except for shrek hasn't dreamworks been at evens with pixar, I mean they made ants, pixar had bugs llife, pixar makes finding nemo so dreamworks follows it up with shark tale. I doubt dreamworks is making a superhero cg movie but I can see them making their own knock off of pixars next film Cars.

Hell the genious script for shrek 3 calls for shrek VS the knights of the round.. oh that'll be awesome... :(
