Finally got a Switch 2, what now?

The main issue with mine is that I bought it to enjoy the exclusive Nintendo games but they never go on sale.

Even Switch 1 games with no Switch 2 enhancement are selling like they released yesterday.

So frustrating.

Now you can sell at a loss because it has no games.

Mine is pretty much collecting dust at this point.

Get the exclusives you don't own on other systems. Donkey Kong, MP4..

I actually love Mario Kart world and Fast Fusion
No games? I could see you saying this if you only use it as a home system. But as a portable it has a great library. Use it all the time on the go.

Prime 4 is for people who like trash. Silksong is for people who like pain and their time disrespected.

Bananza is the best. Mario Wonder is amazing if you never got around to that. Daemon x Machina Titanic Scion is pretty cool. Splatoon 3 is now higher res and 60fps on Switch 2, a much better experience than on Switch 1. DQ3 and Romancing Saga 2 got free enhancement patches, too. Very nice to chill with. FFT remaster is also fantastic. Hades II is very good, I was surprised how much more varied and fun to progress compared to the first one. Dave the Diver and Story of Seasons: Grand Bazar are very good for handheld cozy mode playing, as well as all Ace Attorney games and Ghost Trick.

The two Zeldas, Get disappointed with MKW, pleasantly surprised with DK, then MP4.

Then, you get a dust cover for it and wait for the Xenoblade patches and get unreasonably angry with Nintendo each time they don't announce them each time a shovelware-riddled direct comes around.

Try other old switch games, there is loads of games that got great performance boost.

If you have cyberpunk in other systems and want the game on the go, enjoy cross platform saves,

Can't comment about fusion, but bananza is really good, great game.

I played a good bit of MKW before deciding i'd rather play MK8. Went back and played a couple of switch 1 games like Fire Emblem Engage and now it's been in a cupboard for 5 months.

DK looks cool and I'll check it out at some point, but waiting on the big hitters...

Fast Fusion is good, was blurry as hell at launch but think they've improved it a bit with patches.

That's real. Just resolution alone would do wonders for XC3. Like, save 60fps for later if you need time to work on it, just fix the part where my eyes get tired from deciphering everything through the blur. Same for Octopath Traveler II. I know they just made a new one but why not patch the old one too? DQ3 proved you don't need new assets or anything.

Get DK Bananza, amazing game and the best on the system so far (by a lot imo). Hades 2 is an easy game to recommend as well.

Mario Kart World is great too, albeit a bit disappointing imo. But if you enjoy kart racers it's a given imo.

I'm currently going through Metroid Prime 4, and while it's a very poor Metroid game it's still a pretty solid, classic (in the GC/Ps2/original Xbox sense), sci-fi shooter. So if you're into that I'd say pick it up if the price ever gets slashed in half.

Bonanza is alright, but it feels weaker than Odissey. Theres not really challenge fo collecting bananas, but if you dont foxus on too much aide stuff, you might not burn out on gimmick by end.
Fast Fusion is neat, Zelda games are great in 4k60(ive put probably another 30h since last friday)
Metroid of course.
Bravely Default is nice little rpg or DQ remakes.
Big screen is nice, but its pretty shit at high fps games, a lot of smearing. I almost always play docked, so thats nice.

I wouldn't say no games as in at all. It's just the library of games is very limited to my taste, which of course just personal opinion.

I just can't find it in me to buy a game twice ( if I already have it on PC ) just to play it portable ( and more expensive in general ). The switch 2 to me is just for exclusives like every Nintendo console I owned since N64.

And that exclusive to switch 2 library is very limited.

There are already great Video Games available for the Nintendo Switch 2 :)

Hades II - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition
Donkey Kong: Bananza
Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition
Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition
Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition
Hollow Knight: Silksong - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment
Mario Kart World

If you like arpgs get Diablo 3 eternal collection. It runs beautifully.

Puzzles games - Picross…ALL OF THEM

hades II and silk song already mentioned but they offer fantastic performance and offer a great amount of gameplay for the price.

Fantasy life I - another great value for the cost.

If you are into rpgs the xenoblade series is a solid recommendation.

Looking to bond with a significant other - give animal crossing a shot.

If you are completely new to Nintendo in general then buy any/all of their first party/published titles. So much variety to choose from Nintendo is the king for a reason.

Is this your first Nintendo console?

Nintendo games NEVER go on sale. There's no point in waiting for one.

Yeah I get that. Its a young system though, and they have missed with a couple of their major releases this year. For me I've been playing mario wonder, CP2077, DK and a few others on the go. More than enough to keep me occupied in the train/plane. I never use it at home.
