Firefox doesn't work properly for me after I reinstalled Windows. I don't know why, but it won't save any bookmarks. Say if I bookmark a webpage and close/reopen Firefox - it will have vanished, anybody know how to fix this? I tried un/reinstalling but it still does the same.

I want my Firefox back instead of this shit Opera browser. :(

Another company would be crucified for releasing versions that close... but since I love Firefox I'll say nothing.... ;)

I did a complete uninstall and installed 1.06 last night, and it's infinitely more stable that I was experiencing with 1.04. All my old extensions are working and it's not crashing.

For right now, I'm very pleased with the newest build. *knocks on wood*

Updating is so easy though, it's really not a problem.

Is there a reason why quicktime plugin doesn't work in firefox for me, even though I have quicktime installed on my computer?

Eh, I am happy with Opera and Safari. Firefox breaks extensions in every release.
Which is why you don't upgrade with every release. :)

i upgraded when the security flaws appeared and that's it. There haven't been any really useful extensions (aside from the EXIF plugin i found that wasn't on the official site), and installing/uninstalling plugins en masse creates problems.

Also, i think it was Ecrofirt who recommended this, you guys should try out Deer Park. It's still in alpha but it's solid and a bit faster than Firefox. Deer Park will eventually be Firefox

As a warning the FF team posts this on their page:

Current users of Mozilla Firefox 1.0.x should not download or use Deer Park Alpha 2.

i assume it overwrites your FF data, but since i'm running it on a fresh install of Linux i didn't mind.

If you want to download Deer Park, and assuming it overwrites your FF data, is it safe to just copy your FF data to somewhere else and copy it back if you want to reinstall FF?

i'd assume so, but you could probably find the answer at the Mozillazine forums.

Just installed Deer Park and am getting a Error 400 Bad Request on yourethemannowdog.com, which didn't happen 20 minutes ago with Firefox (I used that site to test the quicktime plugin). anyone?
