Hope It's More Like The Book In Depicting The Family As Demons As That Is Essentially What The Father, The Girl And The Other Guy In The Books Are!!
In The Original Film They Botch This And Just Have You Rooting For Team Fire Starter Willy Nilly, Rooting For The Monsters!!
But Theirs An Actual Terrifying Back Story Here That I Sure Hope They Actually Use Finally In This Version Of The Film!! The Father And That Other Guy Are Some Serious Evil Demons Running
Around Planning The End!!
Salems Lot Is Another Film They Only Told A Small Fraction Of If You Know The Books Properly!! This And Salems Lot Done Exactly Like The Books, In Tow With The Back Stories Spread Across Other King Novels Would Be Great!! Fire Starter Is Actually Not About Some Super Powered Girl Oozing With 80'S Nostalgia Unless You Just Know The Film!! When You Get Down To The Gnitty Gritty, It's A Very Scary Story About Hell Coming Back To Earth And Demons And This Family Is The Catalyst!!

A lot of the old King books could use the Blum house treatment. I'd love to see their take on the Long Walk and The Running Man. Christine of course. A zoomer social media version of Children of the Corn could be amazing.

They Totally Left Out The Bit About The Girl In Firestarter Becoming Essentially Satan For A Moment And Immediately Coming To Terms With The Fact That Even Those She May Of Seemed Like She Was Trying To Save, Her Family - Were Demon's Following A Sacrificial Script (Particularly Her Dad And The Other Guy Who Just Want To Start The End Times) And Acting As Innocent Sacrificial Lambs (The Women) But Really Only Wanted To Help Bring About The End!! "Hell Is A Place For Children" There Is Really Quiet A Bit Of Firestarter Lore Floating About Other King Novels That I Hope Makes It Into The Film Too!!

The tv adaptation of Salem's Lot hit all the main points and was 3 hours long. If they made the film exactly like the book it'd be about 9 hours long. If you want to talk about bad adaptations of King's work The Dark Tower is number 1. Salem's Lot is easily one of the best. It's up there with The Shining.
Which Shining? The film is of course sublime but I thought the TV mini was enjoyable for all the extra stuff it had.
I'd like to see someone tackle The Talisman. Always one of my fav King books (collab with Peter Straub IIRC). Dragonfire or whatever the one with the kid locked in the castle would be dope as well.

There are lots of great Stephen King adaptations, but this one is average in my opinion
