Majesco has announced it will publish a game based on the film Flux for the Xbox and PlayStation 2. Terminal Reality, the Dallas-based developer of the BloodRayne series (also published by Majesco), will develop the third-person stealth-action title. Aeon Flux is currently set for a fall 2005 release alongside its motion picture counterpart.

The art style for Aeon was really out there in the real Aeon Flux. Did you really think it was going to look like that considering there is a movie in the works?

*still waiting for a trailer for the movie...*

That can't be too far off. I saw a teaser poster hung up when I went to see Sin City.

Well it's based off the movie, maybe that's why some of you don't recognize it...of course that might be saying something about the movie.

hmm... looks like an OK-looking PSP game...

Advent Shadow? That's also being published by Majesco. Hmm, you might be on to something there.

I'm not really digging Aeon Theron there. Why is she not wearing Aeon's trademark skimpy purple suit? She looks more like Michele Merkin as Joanna Dark in the old Perfect Dark ads.

I beg to differ. Have they even heard of anti-aliasing?
Ever heard of a game being released towards the end of the year, therefore allowing the developers to touch up graphics? The games not done.

Bah, just make BR3 to fill in the giant screwy cliffhanger ending from the 2nd. Enough with those already.

Exec #1: I just got the rights to an ultra stylish cartoon. What should we do?

Exec #2: Let's make a movie, then a game!

Exec.#3: And let's strip away every that's inherently unique and appealing from the source material!

All of Execs: BRILLIANT!

Hey, anyone remember that Aeon Flux game that was supposed to come out for the PSone a long whiles back?

I was hoping for a cell shaded game that mimiced the art of the orginal animated show. As this stands, it looks like it's going to join a long line of crappy movie/game tie-ins.

Yeah, it will probably be crappy alright. Wish it wasn't, but probably will be.

I agree. Could have been a cool game based on the old show. BTW, I know I'm not going out on any long limbs by predicting a crappy movie/game tie-in. :D I think that's standard operatin procedure for move to game conversion.s

Ooof! I do.

I was really only a fan of the Aeon Flux mini-episodes without dialogue, so I don't have much invested emotionally in the license. I'm not writing off the PS2/Xbox game just yet... maybe in about 20 minutes...

Yeah.

But IMO Spider-Man 2 was a pretty good game, not the greatest, but decent (I especially loved the swinging pendulum physics). And that's not because I am a Parker fanboy.
