Tobey could definitely play a predator.

I really liked that we had a more smartass/funny Spiderman in ASM, completely redeemed the bad parts of the movie.

That said I still hope Giamatti really just plays a dude that runs around with a styropor armor, making stupid faces. No exo-skeleton, no CGI suit, just a guy that runs around in styropor. Do that and let everyone behave as if he was the baddest guy on the planet.

Baddest. Guy. Ever. :p

Oh my god yes, whiny crybaby is the phrase I was looking for. Brera I like you more and more each day.

They went too much with the 'whole world shitting on parker' and went overboard with it to the point of parody.

I was feeling the same way, everyone put TDK on a huge pedestal then cried over TDKR. Me? I thought it was better than TDK.

I respect your opinion. I just want you to know that.

Dude...I totally agree with you as well! BB>>>>>TDKR>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>TDK

Also, I don't know if it was 2 or 3, but there weer a series of scenes where I just thought "FFS I've had enough of this emo shit! How much shit can happen to one person"

Also Topher Grace should have been spidey. Toby is a personality vacuum.

Amazing Spider-Man was a great movie, flawed but great.

This one looks weird from the photo released so far, but I have no doubt everyone will be impressed by it all when it comes together.

ASM was boring and way too much of a retread of the first movie. Only worse. Lizard was a terrible villain. Not to surprised to see that they're already going down the villain overload path that sunk Spider-Man 3.

Villain overload? There were only 3.

Is there some kind of obscure rendition of Rhino in the SM comics that this is supposed to be based on? Because I'm genuinely confused at this version. It looks absolutely nothing like Rhino.

You mean like how Nolan Bane looked exactly like comic Bane?

But it doesn't work in Spiderman to try to make it realistic and gritty. You still have a guy in a red and black spider themed spandex suit crackin' wise, you still have cartoonish superpowered characters in the world. Nolan's Batman films didn't have those elements, so making Bane into a physically intimidating, but still human, mercenary worked in that context. I just don't know what they're trying to do with Rhino.

It's pretty clear from those shots that they're pre-special effects.

I'm guessing we'll have a human Rhino and then a CG Rhino as well.

Please let ASM 2 bomb so that Spidey comes back to Marvel/Disney.

If ASM2 bombs Sony will run his ass into the ground until the brand name isn't worth anything anymore :( Not to mention it definitely won't bomb, nobody's much concerned with quality when it comes to Spiderman being successful at the box-office anyway.

I could talk all day about how bad Amazing Spiderman was in my eyes, but I think I'll simply say this...to those who complained about Spiderman 3 in regards of being a confused mish mash between the vision of a director wanting to see his vision and a corporate overseer with an even tighter control than in Spidey 1 and 2, then you get almost all of the latter in the Amazing Spiderman in the worst possible way. And because of that, it ends up more confused than ever before because it shows how terrible they are when they are more hands on.

Dude...I totally agree with you as well! BB>>>>>TDKR>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>TDK
You know...after thinking about this a few weeks back...I'm inclined to agree. TDKR has its problems, but compared to TDK, they only seem to be highlighted more after thinking more about it. Like where was the police force gone when the Joker was bombing the hospitals? Why could they not look out for the already abandoned hospitals to see if he turned up? And then there's the ending in which
Batman took the fall for the murders of the corrupt police force in order to keep that Harvey Dent law a thing. Why couldn't he say that The Joker murdered them? Problem solved
. And I really shouldn't say it because it's already talked about before, but what did Joker do after Batman left the party? Hell, why didn't he go after him after saving your one from that fall? I mean, after all the hype of how TDK is the pinnacle of how comic book movies should be made...yeah.

First ASM was great, looking forward to this next one. And the next next, why not.

ASM was way better and much more entertaining than Avengers and Batman 3.
I agree with you on Batman 3.
And someone who looks like this

Is supposed to be the class dork
I don't know why people use this as a criticism. Have you ever seen Peter Parker in the comic books? He's a pretty good looking guy. He's the male equivalent of the girl who take off her glasses and lets down her hair and suddenly becomes Prom Queen. His problem is social awkwardness, not appearance.

Spider-Man 1 and 2 were great until 3 came out
The Amazing Spider-Man was a generic hollywood comic book boredom trek in order to retain the movie rights. TAS 2 looks downright embarrassing though

The post that saying Batman forever are better than Raimi's spidey made me cringe more than these picture.. what the fuck.

I caught the opening to those movies this summer on TV and after 2 minutes I turned it off. I couldn't believe how awful they were, fuck the 90s.

ASM was mediocre from top to bottom, except for the suit.

ASM2 doesn't give me much hope, but maybe they'll pull it off.

Actually Webb is adapting (or at least trying to adapt) the Ultimate Spider man universe so the Rhino in this will be a guy in a mech suit.

This is a fucking joke. Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2(especially) were awesome movies until the third came around and shat up the whole franchise. But in 1 and 2 the actors who played the villains were good choices and made sense(to me at least).

Paul Giamatti as Rhino? What a joke. :/

IDK it just pains me to see where live action Spidey has gone after the first two Raimi movies.

Spread out all the over city, either looking for the Joker, keeping the anti-Reese riots under control, searching/evacuating all of the major hospitals.

And then there's the ending in which
Batman took the fall for the murders of the corrupt police force in order to keep that Harvey Dent law a thing. Why couldn't he say that The Joker murdered them? Problem solved

Because Batman DID kill Dent and the Joker was already accounted for.

And I really shouldn't say it because it's already talked about before, but what did Joker do after Batman left the party? Hell, why didn't he go after him after saving your one from that fall?

He left. He was there to kill Dent, Dent wasn't there.

I mean, after all the hype of how TDK is the pinnacle of how comic book movies should be made...yeah.

But so what? There are plenty of great comic book movies with plot holes or something. "One of the best" does not mean perfect.
