I guess he's referring to the "Do I seem funny to you?" scene but aside from the conversation's structure it's not actually the same scene in intent or purpose.

Trailer is dumb. If you just shared a family secret then he would be acknowledge Johnny's character as family. Never mind he is sharing it to him, not a third party. When he in fact wants the guy to be in with him not others.

I didn't know that until I read up on the film more and now I'm definitely on board. Both of those films aren't perfect by any means but they feel so lived-in and the characters really well realized.

Hate the contacts but everything else is great. Liked the performance even if it was a bit reminiscent of the Goodfellas scene another poster pointed out.

Are Whitey's blue eyes such a requirement that they couldn't skip what obviously looks like contacts? Maybe they can do some post processing to touch them up or something and not lose the performance.

I hope this is a return to form for Depp. Dude has been hella lazy recently and its almost like he thinks stupid make up and costumes = acting.
