So hyped for this. First Depp movie I wanna watch in awhile.

Make up is kinda goofy, Depp's accent is spot on and not distracting.

Same director as Crazy Heart and Out of the Furnace so it's likely a pretty good film.

I watched Out of the Furnace recently and really liked that, Bale was great in it. This DP/30 interview about it is pretty great and hilarious.

This director is real good with actors.

Well It is now because the Goodfellas scene owned. This seems like a lame attempt at that scene - intimidate a gangster on what appears to be a trivial matter and then say Gotcha. Sorry it has been done better by Joe Pesci. Here it looks like forced tension.

Pesci was great in that scene, but it doesn't detract from this one. I just completely disagree with the premise of "it has been done in another movie at one point in Hollywood history so this isn't as good".
