Kill the Moonlight > Girls Can Tell > Gimme Fiction > A Series of Sneaks

I liked Kill The Moonlight better at first, but now Gimme Fiction took over it. It might switch back, but 'The Beast and Dragon, Adored', 'I Summon You', 'I Turn My Camera On' and 'Sister Jack' are just amongst the best I've heard from Spoon. I still haven't heard some songs from Girls Can Tell and A Series of Sneaks, though. I'm buying Girls Can Tell next week.

The Foo Fighters are still better than 90% of bands out today, but it'll be difficult to top the greatness that was "Everlong" and "Hero".

Is the noise at the beginning and end of "The Deepest Blue..." and "End Over End" supposed to be there (for effect or whatever)?

I only ask because I don't get any noise on any other tracks, but I'm hearing a lot of stuff about the copy protection on this CD. People are having trouble ripping it to iTunes for transfer to iPods, but I have the dual disc (CD one side, DVD on other side) version and it seemed to rip totally fine.

However, I'm just making sure there wasn't some wacky side effect.

The copy protection is a pain in the ass on this one, but it copied to iTunes with no problems.
I'm sure Nero will do a straight copy however.
I did notice that if you use their built in browser to rip the tracks off the CD it does them at 128 bitrate.

Thought it was a little bland at first... but I've been listening to it alot lately and I really like it.

In response to people wondering about the first single, "Best of You", I came in to this album thinking that was the worst Foo song i'd heard. It was boring and monotonous, and I was glad to hear in the video interviews on NME.com, that they had originally left this song OFF of the album, but thier A&R guy or whatever was like "hey i wanna hear that song, the best the best the best whatever. Thats the first single". I don't think they would have even put it on the album otherwise.
Anyway, after my first listen through I didn't think much of the album, a few songs that stuck in my head a bit, but other than that I didn't think too much. It's definitely grown on me since then, and while its not a big of a change as the new White Stripes album, it is a bit of a new focus for the Foos and I love it, especially with the acoustic album.
