I did, in the late 70s early 80s?, he was playing in USA and while he was past his prime, he still was better than the rest. One of the first football matches attended so I'll never forget.

What an amazing player.

Seeing that last part of the documentary, with him talking about his eventual death at the end was pretty sad.
They'll be honoring his wish and take him around the stadium before heading to the cemetery tomorrow. In the meantime he'll be resting at "Estadio da Luz" so people can pay homage (as many already have).

It is really unfortunate to lose him now before the 2014 World Cup. He will be missed. Our government has declared 3 days of national mourning. Descansa em paz Pantera.

He also came to Montreal once, to the local Benfica association. I know a dude who's a big fan of the club and a member (sócio) and he chilled with him. Apparently Eusebio got wasted and he had to drive him back to his hotel. Lucky bastard.
