For a youtube video this is a rather sedate, dignified presentation. No silly thumbnail, stupid voices, overwrought reactions, or trite opinions. From view count it doesn't seem particularly popular, so won't assume this means a change in trend. But it was a nice change of pace.

I'd forgotten about the Camp David Accords.

He trusted the mullahs which led to the current situation in Iran and indeed the middle east.
The more I learn about his betrayal to the Iranians, the more I hate him. I hope the bastard experienced unimaginable suffering on his way out. Curse his soul.
Look at this post man. Look at this embarrassing display of naked hatred....at the news of a man's death. How do you not feel shame?

Despicable.

Interesting take on Iranian history. Can't blame carter for all of that.
Iranians democratically elected a man who wanted to nationalise their resources (oil). CIA said fuck that and backed a brutal shah that slaughtered his own people to maintain power. In 1953 way before carter.

This unfortunately pushed the iranians to bat shit insane islamic revolution.
Never would have happened if America let Iran be.
Iran today is a product of terrible foreign policy.

Expecting carter to invade to help maintain a brutal dictatorship would have been the worse call. Vietnam was only just ended. Get bogged down in the desert and urban fighting.

The man was too good of a man to be president/politican…you need a little bit of corruption of the soul for those positions.

The Iran situation has a lot of nuances to it which doesn’t deserve to be pinned to a single man…especially when you have a life long politicians around. I don’t think people appreciate how much the common folk factions hated the shah - yes the elite liked him and and wealthy foreign visitors. But all other factions felt enough desperation to side with a figure they didn’t even truly align with to get rid of the shah. Can’t blame Carter for that.

Maybe look more into his history, because you're wrong.

Ended the free democracy of Rhodesia and brought about the dictatorship of Zimbabwe.
While Zimbabwe was a shit show under Mugabe, there was really nothing free about Rhodesia. Unless you were white of course. You might as well call pre-apartheid South Africa “free”.
