If Liverpool get Shaqiri + Sanchez + Lallana, where does that leave Raheem?

#10 behind Sturridge if Suarez is sold?

What's wrong with €40m for Mata? That's the going rate for a top class attacking midfielder.
Not sure I'd rate him as a top class player, but anyway, maybe, as a Juve fan, I'm just used to having to put up with a zero budget transfer market so seeing teams wasting their money like this kinda pisses me off lol Pretty sure that if we had half the money a top PL has we'll win the CL within a couple of years.

How much are Liverpool paying for Shaqiri anyway?

36m Euros. 28.8m in REAL money
Pls pounds are so confusing, I spent a few months in England and I still have no idea how to tell those damn coins from each other they all look the same. Also seeing the queen's ugly mug on each one of them is an instant boner killer. Italian Euro coins on the other hand have Botticelli's Venus stamped on them, no comparison there

I'm very much enjoying the fact that, despite having the best attack and worse defence of the 'big' clubs last year, we're improving the former and ignoring the latter

I think Sterling's long term future is at #10.

Wasn't it €45m? It was £37.1m in the end...

Mourinho please get Sanchez and not Costa

Not sure what the hold up on confirming Costa is really. Probably World Cup and now he's on holiday. When we confirmed that deal, we'll confirm Felipe Luis and Tiago too I guess (although Tiago is out of contract so it doesn't really matter)

Bruno Zuculini, City medical. Aged 21, used to be a huge talent but had a very average season. £1.5m apparently (end of contract), people in Argentina are a bit curious why City are buying him.

Side news from Twitter: apparently the jacket is bought at H&M.

three thundred thousand pounds per week for rooneh

someone please call ja, i'm trying to make sense of all this.

Aurier looked pretty good to me in the World Cup, going forward at least, a very good replacement for Sagna's deadly crosses, for Giroud to miss.

I'm not trying to troll them.

They're always guarded but other clubs it seems their plans are clear at least. Are Arsenal just keeping secrets or is there no plan?

Every year the market gets more expensive. Want a known name? Pay up

Want to roll the dice on a potential prospect? Get there early, pay a small amount and pray for the best.

There's no way we're getting Sanchez and Shaqiri if we're getting Lallana. Would have much preferred those two tbh, gone right off the idea of Lallana since the season ended. Hopefully he proves me wrong obviously.

Signing all 3 of them would be pointlessly spending money on unnecessary depth in 2 areas to the detriment of more pressing concerns, and leave the development of Coutinho and Sterling dead in the water.

Benfica clarified the details of the Garay deal. The whole deal was made by 6M€ and not 15M€, Benfica only get´s 2.4M€.
Either this is the dumbest sale of all times or there´s something really fishy going on here.

Not sure I agree. Coutinho has shown quite clearly that he isn't able to affect and influence every game, even without European commitments. He goes off the boil far too often for his spot to be secured. Having five players competing for three positions seems very healthy to me.

---------------------Sturridge--------------------

----Shaqiri---------------------------Sterling--

---------------------------Lallana-----------------

----------Henderson-----------------------------

----------------------Gerrard----------------------

Hmm. Would look much better to me if you put Sterling in Lallana's position, and Sanchez in Sterling's

From what Tony Barrett has been saying about Sanchez - he's a "contingency" - I think the only way we get him is if Suarez is going the other way. 2 of Lallana, Shaqiri, Sanchez would be top, all 3 would be doubleplustop, even if it means getting shot of Suarez.

With us having Champions league now we need to make sure we have a big enough squad. Times like this I wish I was a footballer, not for the money and the bitches but so Brendan could touch my face

Minor point, but do clubs ever send their lawyers to the buying club? They would come to us, surely?

I still don't understand why Barca want Suarez and want to ship off Sanchez. Wasn't Sanchez one of, if not the best player on their squad last season from a consistency standpoint?

LiverpoolGAF why do you have Gerrard still starting? Shouldn't you be looking to move away from him?

Some of us think Can is Gerrards replacement, others think he's Lucas'. For the time being we don't really know until we see them in pre-season at the earliest.
