Sturridge was Sturridge, only a little on his heels
Few loose touches which he salvages with his ridiculously quick footspeed, nice goal from his soulmate's assist, one touch on his left to take it out of and angle where it could be blocked, twatted in at the near post with his right. One lovely flick to set Lallana clear. Didn't quite catch hold of a volley from a chest control which left the ball too close to him.
Looked a little frustrated when closing defenders down, when the rest of the team seemed to have been told to sit back and absorb the pressure. Must be a massive relief to come through that unscathed, and with a semi-decisive goal that I'd describe as classic Sturridge.
Delighted for him. His season so far has been a series of kicks to the bollocks, especially seeing how much he'd have helped us.
Ibe was a threat but didn't see much of his general play, he was very direct. Promising.

1-I was talking STRICTLY about his decisions in Ozil and Di Maria transfers so whatever else he did was not in my discussion scope, therefore it doesn't matter if they were good or bad.
2-I advice you to not give newspapers (especially if they are from the league the player in question just joined) much credibility about insider information especially papers like the dailystar
3-you can check my posts and debate about the conditions of Di Maria transfer with KidA Seven
4-I did not attempt to defend Perez as a person or as a president of the club, I was just defending his decisions to sell both Ozil and Di Maria only

The way he seems to just pick up strings to his bow is ridiculous.
You need to learn when to release the ball. Done.
You need to learn how to manoeuvre players so you can use your pace. Done.
You need to improve your movement to get involved in buildup. Done
You need to improve your passing. Done.
And now he's learned how to shield the ball properly, and when to hold it up and play it back, and when to turn and run at the defense. Its as though every month, he makes a big stride in one particular aspect, and he's becoming something of a complete package. Unfortunately I don't think he has the power in his legs to become a massive threat when 30 yards from goal, crossing or shooting, but you can't have everything
Assuming he doesn't plateau too soon, he will become a phenomenal player. Get him tied down, asap.
