Real might be strong but look at those studs

Can't believe this team is actually a thing. I hope Thiago stays healthy this year.

And considering Ribery is pretty injury prome already, it could be Shaqs year.

I don't mind Nasri. what RVP did with his little statement was far more offensive than anything Nasri's ever said or done. helps that Nasri's just a good player, but pretty far from a great one.

Not really sure why Arsenal fans spend all that energy on him. He doesn't seem affected on the pitch anyway, he's had great matches against Arsenal.

RVP is a first class cunt too but he doesn't wind it up every chance he gets like Nasri does.

Makes you appreciate people like Vermaelen though who respectfully let the club negotiate the transfer without bs statements, refusing this and refusing that, agent every week on about different crap. Have a lot of respect for Vermaelen for how he handled this.

When you say "Arsenal fans" you're actually referring to a few minority. Personally couldn't give a fuck about Nasri, he was only with us 3 years. But do you see the same disrespect coming from Clichy who was with us much longer? No. That's just Nasri.

People in Dundee booed him this summer. In freakin' Dundee. When they were in China last year, people booed him when City played Tottenham. It's ridiculous.

His teammates seemed to like him too at Arsenal:

Do you see the same disrespect from Clichy as you do Nasri? No. There's a reason why Nasri is so hated. And no its not because of his talent.

Double post? WTF. I thought I was in the edit screen. Stupid phone.

eh, that's just the media feeding off the villain narrative imo. I was reading quotes from that interview he did about retiring from France recently; it's all pretty tame stuff despite the headlines. same with the stuff he's said about Arsenal (for the most part): the Emirates atmosphere, the board forcing to sell him, City being a better place to win trophies than Arsenal. makes for a good scare headline but the sense I get from Nasri is he just doesn't give a shit, more than deliberately trying to wind people up.

and to his credit, he was always a professional at Arsenal. I respect that.

The more Dortmunds managers are complaining about us the higher are the chances we are actually getting Reus. We will buy him just to fuck them up in the end. Know your place, Dortmund. Know your place.

Don't you think one murder was enough :(

Real looks pretty, pretty strong again.

No, we are not as strong.

Both Iker "Topo" Casillas and Alvaro "Cono" Arbeloa are still among us. And to make things better they both fucking hate each other (secretly most of the squad distrusts Casillas after the whole shit with him leaking stuff to his GF, but Arbeloa is not liked either).

Now come the problems of picking the right XI.

Honestly I would do:

--------------------Navas
Carvajal--Ramos--Varane--Cuntrao
-Kroos---Alonso(Khedira)---Modric
-----Bale-----James-----Ronaldo

With that XI, di Maria/Benz will be cunts and make sure the media knows about it.

I already hate this season.

DAILY STAR

Manchester United are poised to make a £20m bid for Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels.

Bahahahaha!!

Man, the rumours in the papers today are crazy!

The only one I beleive is "Manchester United have been given the green light to move for Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado with the Italian club saying they would struggle to turn down offers of over £25m." But the bloody times are running with that so he's going to Chelsea.

This is interesting but probably total horse testicles:

Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez is closing in on a move to Juventus which could speed up the arrival of Juve midfielder Arturo Vidal at Old Trafford.

and

Chelsea are eyeing up a move for Manchester United target and Roma star Mehdi Benatia.

Fuck Chelsea they have Terry why do they need Benatia?

:D

Kroos on the wing? Pls :D

I didn't say that he shouldn't be hated, I don't know what's the limits for reaching that stage. A lot of players are hated in PL for a lot of reasons. But few are booed and I don't think there's a single person in PL that gets as booed as Nasri and it doesn't make any sense to waste that energy year after year. He was only at your club for three years. When he left he said it was about the trophies, it pissed off Arsenal fans, but now he has a lot of trophies. He's always been respectful towards Wenger as well.

Yesterday's stuff is tame too:
Despite winning two league titles and the Capital One Cup in his three seasons at the Etihad Stadium, Nasri is not inclined to gloat about his medal haul to Arsenal’s support.

He said: “I don’t think it would be nice for me to do that. I am trying to be more mature and not to be involved in those things because I have had a lot of problems in the past. To say, ‘Look, I have won these trophies’ is not nice towards the Arsenal fans.

“I am in debt to Arsene Wenger at Arsenal. I am this player today because of him. But I don’t think I need to explain myself. What I have achieved with Manchester City should be enough.”

...

He said: “I just think the abuse I get is stupid. I’m not an Arsenal fan, I am not from London.

“To be honest we are players and we are just looking at what are the best interests for us and our careers.

“When Manchester City came for me it was the best choice to come here. Since coming to City I have won trophies and I have a better life so I am really happy about everything.

“If the fans can’t move on it’s too bad. I am not trying to have a problem with that. They do what they have to do and they love their club.

“They see that as a treason or that I betrayed them but it’s not that. I’m not like that. I just look what’s best for me and that’s what Bacary Sagna did, what Emmanuel Adebayor did and what Kolo Toure did.

“For the fans the only reason has to be for the money. But it isn’t just for the money.

"Of course, it’s a factor and it’s important. But if someone earns £200,000-a-week, £150,000 or £100,000-a-week, it’s not that which is going to make a difference or an impact on your life, so that’s not true.”

the big question for this season: will Fabregas be booed? I love Cesc but I can't respect anyone who kisses the badge in a fucking pre-season friendly lol

one might even say I will never forgive him

Kroos on the wing? Pls :D

That's a 4-3-3, he won't be on the wing. Ronaldo and Bale will be wingers/strikers. The thing Di Maria gave us was being able to play from the middle and to the wing, but very few players can actually do that.

Fuck, why are we fucking selling Di Maria, he even improved his awful defensive work rate to fit into Ancelotti's 4-3-3.

He didn't leave for trophies, he left because of finances. Earlier in that season Nasri was more than willing to discuss contract and Arsenal didn't want to. When we did open talks we didn't offer him what he wanted and things snowballed from there. He has been very open about this, including the part about the board forcing his sale too when he was happy to see out his final season with us.

Clichy was the same. Moaned that we didn't make strong enough attempt to keep him.

Fabregas is going to get booed. Remember last season we booed Higuain. Lol

Of course it's a 4-4-3 but to fully utilize Kroos he should always be in the middle. And yeah, selling Di Maria is a bad move.

About as much pace as a double decker bus in reverse.

Also welcome back.

Thanks :D

What is his salary at city?

What is his salary at city?

It was reported as £140k earlier. He signed a new contract this summer and City has completely changed the wage structure so it's more bonus based. It was reported that, similar to every other contract in the recent two years, his main wage was lowered but his bonuses much higher. Some new reports says his new salary is £40k lower.

The way it was with Ancelotti was all 3 in the middle defended, created and attacked.

That middle spot is the most crucial, and I don't trust Kroos in defense as much as I do Alonso or Khedira.

Maybe this would be better then:

--------------------Navas
Carvajal--Ramos--Varane--Cuntrao
-------Modric--Khedira--Di Maria
----------Bale--James--Ronaldo

He'll be booed. Without a doubt.

Did he actually kiss the badge? I haven't seen any pictures of him doing it.

I will fucking cheer against Madrid for this season if they sit Modric. He is the best player this team has. Yes, better than Ronaldo and Bale by far.

I fucking hate 4-2-3-1 too.

I wonder how we will play. I seriously have no idea. Right now it seems like Pep is going for a 3-4-3.

I just don't know. It seems like Lahm is going to stay in the midfield :/ We are fucked.

Makes sense arsenal didn't want to pay him that much.

seeing Paris Hilton DJing has to be the lowest point in my life?

Lower than seeing Juve getting ripped apart in 2006 and Viva calling me a dense cunt

Just realised Nasri has been at City longer than he was at Arsenal.

More talks about Mangala this morning, saying that the third parties can't agree on who owns what of him, in %. He's training on his own now with a personal trainer.

I'd long ago learned not to be picky in farewells. They weren't guaranteed or promised. You were lucky, more than blessed, if you got a good-bye at all. At least he left us his wigs behind <3
It's all up hill now with allegri leading you to another title this season!

buy Vidal, steal Pogba, take everything. We're done, drained, depleted, BVB, bereft of life, cadaverous. Bring the curtain down, the shows over...and not with a bang but an Allegri.

on a positive note, have a nice day everyone! xoxo

We have Di Maria and Khedira for sale. Does nobody really want them?

They cost too much or/and want too much money. Getting rid of greedy expensive players is not easy.

We were cursed for years with Bendtner, the best striker in the world, because of this reason.

That sounds a right mess I feel sorry for the player.
