Football Thread 2014/2015 |OT11| This Is Our Year!

Weird. As I said, its up to you whether to take it or not. Firstly, make sure he asks you before he puts it on the schedule, and secondly, stand your ground if you want the work and money. They can't make you take time off without pay.

We've been over hours as well over the last 3 weeks, think the opening of Lidl and Tescos nearby is killing my store. Our little horse is struggling.
I don't mind having the time off, just took me off-guard that they asked me that lol.

Plus it's only 4 days, I'll live :p

His chest down and volley was the most exciting thing a Sunderland striker has done since that one time Jozy got a shot on target.

Big Mama launched himself in front of that shot

Why didn't Van Arnholt have any license to attack before the red card?

Good 3 points, didn't play too well especially in the first half.

Zouma was great again, bit of a worry though that if he gets into the first team we lose an English player to the bench, need to start working some of our english youth into the team or buy someone, hopefully Bamford or someone else can take Drogba's spot when he retires or leaves again.

Supposedly Bamford has been told he will be given a chance at the first team when he is 23 which is the season after next I think.

If Boro get promoted we will be pleased but also disappointed. Loaning players to them namely: Chalobah, Bamford and Kalas (Blackman and McEachran have also been on loan there that I can remember) seems to been positive but I think we can only loan them one player if they're in the Prem. Give them Bamford as Chalobah is going to Bordeaux and perhaps he can stay there next season, I think Kalas will have other PL interest when the time comes if he has a good spell there.

Re Zouma: very pleased for him today, he's obviously young and still a bit raw but he's fast, good head, a bit of a tendency to just hoof it but that wasn't necessarily a bad option given the situations he was in although I don't think Hazard appreciated it. We just need to make sure he learns from JT, improve communication and confidence on the ball (Luis did a great bit of skill under pressure to get away from a couple of Newcastle players closing him down as an example but Luis is 10~ years old obviously) and he could end up a real star for us.

Finished 1-1 between swans and west ham and it's probably a fair result. Andy carrolls goal is brilliant but swansea had plenty of chances and Gomis scored a nice header which hit the post and went in off the player. Speaking of Gomis he was superb today and really filled the hole from Bony. Tom Carrol also had a really good game. A good team performance all around and a really enjoyable game to watch. Great stuff.

Good to hear. I've been wondering for a long time if he could make it in the PL. Still not entirely sure, but good to see him getting games.

Redknapp just said Eriksen's a 'typical Tottenham player'. My mind is currently in fits trying to work out what that means in any positive sense.

7/10

Goes missing

Should do better

etc

Fuck waiting that long.

He's getting experience and banging in goals. I doubt another Prem side at this stage in his career would buy him and play him week in week out.

If I'm honest I doubt he will get his chance but Boro getting promoted and keeping him there would be great for everyone, he's a talented lad just needs to keep getting games.

Why didn't Van Arnholt have any license to attack before the red card?

Because Gomez is his midfield link up as Giak tucks inside always. And Gomez takes about three decades to pass a ball. Defensively van Aanholt was far too narrow which made no sense and made it harder for him to break away.

I fucking hate Jordi Gomez. Worst midfielder we've had since Jeff fucking Whitley.

Should probably not trust the 7-11 security cameras quite so much

Early in the season he tended to drift out of games Ozil-style, he got dragged off at HT a couple of times. Now he is actually imposing himself on teams, although he can still improve.

I'm disappointed.
Its the kind of disappointment you feel when you're in a supermarket looking at the curries behind the serving counter and you think it's gonna be really good. You get home, heat it, and it's the same curry that was in the ready meal isle a few quid cheaper.

I think that registers as a classic DC

You know who else didn't hack it in Serie A? Henry.

And we know how that went.

Henry didn't go to Brazil for like 3 years and get sent away from Corinthians, have massive injury issues and was past his mid-twenties.

But alright, whatever makes you guys happy. :-/

Funny capture. City Watch called it poor goalkeeping but I can't really blame Joe though. Inch perfect delivery from Baines and Naismith is completely free -- almost certainly a goal even if Joe stayed on his line and you can't just concede a goal without trying to prevent it.

Sainsburys deli curry is much better than the stuf on ready meals (which is still boss, shop at SainsburysPLC erry day)

Tescos tikka masala is rank.
