From last Page:

Hey mates.

Do footballers ever use the same pair of boots for 2 games or do they get new boots each game?

Watching The Grand Budapest Hotel for the first time, wow its good.

Brilliant film.

hmmmm, well let's see! From Nike/Adidas perspective, I'd rather they wear a new pair for each game, I can't risk one of my products tearing or looking dirty on national TV

on the other hand, I remember seeing United's kitman cleaning their shoes so there's that.

maybe they only provide new ones to a very select group of players. Or they probably send PLENTY of shoes to clubs anyway

Yep this is where im getting confused. I know for a fact that the boots get cleaned and everything after matches, but surely the manufacturers would prefer players to wear new ones each match.

What about Boyhood and Whiplash though?
I'll get to the first one soon but the latter is not my cup of tea (because I don't drink tea for starters)

I know it'll be great but meh, I can see where the plot is going just by reading Imdb's summary, and I have no interest whatsoever in living through that journey

but what did you think of them? Show me your top 2014 movies yo!

Footballers can be very superstitious judging off accounts I've heard. I imagine some people insist on a new pair, and some probably want to reuse their "lucky" boots

Whiplash is incredibly gripping. Fantastic performances by Teller and especially Simmons. The fact that I'm a music lover and a bit of an amateur musician myself certainly helped, but it's a great film regardless of that. Forget what you read about it, just watch it. I've yet to see the likes of Birdman and a couple other probable Oscar-contenders, but Whiplash is definitely up there for my MOTY 2014.

I really liked Boyhood, it's clearly a much more ambitious movie than Whiplash, which is basically a give and take between the two main protagonists (don't get me wrong though - it's really, really well shot and quite the masterclass in filmmaking overall), but I think I'd put it slightly below Whiplash.

Don't ask me about the rest of the list, because I don't even remember what else I saw. The Grand Budapest Hotel was very good, one of my favourite Wes Anderson movies, but I'm not that big of a fan of his work to begin with, so ... GOTG is probably the Marvel film I enjoyed the most after, uh, Iron-Man 1 and let's say Avengers. Which isn't saying much, but at least it didn't bore me to tears like Captain Snoremerica. Oh yeah, Edge of Tomorrow was tops, Interstellar flawed, but still a very remarkable experience at the cinema.

I honestly don't remember what else (of worth) I saw last year. Lists suck anyway. :p

FF never listens to my music recommendation.
Proud of the team. If the ref didn't bottle, we could have won the game also, Lukaku ca't just score past Hart!

Congrats Odd

Roma - Lazio
Napoli - Juve
Inter - Genoa (former bitter Inter manager)

Lazio PLEASE ;_; normally I'd trust them at crushing Roma's dreams but this time they have WAAAY too many injuries to do anything ;_;
Football Thread 2014/2015 |OT12| Congrats Odd!

he deserves it. Sublime human bean

his post genuinely made my day, even though we've never met (yet). Blahblugh was right, he was always right, globalization is great.

Be sure to mention that THIS is why you think you deserve a raise.

Man, I will be fucked if I get a raise. I will blow all my money within the first 48 hours of my paycheck.

I didn't buy myself a Christmas present so this was it to myself.

BTW Juve lads, why is Berardi such a cunt? Every game I watch he is either the best player on the pitch, or being a thug and rolling around on the ground. I really hope he gets a call up to the NT and Conte gives him a talking to.

Pics and info, dude!

They are brown Crockett and Jones double monks, Seymour 2.

I have wanted them for a while because they they look good as a business shoe and as a casual shoe. I like them a lot because they don't have a cap toe like many of the other monks I have seen. Plus C&J will repair your shoes two times I think.

Are they worth it? The English price yes, the Korean price no. But like I said, this was a belated Christmas present to myself. And I lack a really good pair of brown shoes

he's still angry? You'd think getting engaged would calm him down a bit

I got a 16.56% raise, but it means fuck all since I'm gonna pay more taxes now.

where, last night? They were kicking him up and down the pitch, fuck Udinese. Not calling him makes absolutely no sense to me, because they DID call younger players and we really don't have a better winger atm. They're probably still 'punishing' him for refusing U21's call :lol jokes :lol

It was 50/50 last night. Sometimes he was going down at the slightest contact and other times they were cunts. But I have seen it in a few games.

Korea has low taxes, I should keep a lot of the raise.

Yeah, he deserved that yellow for the dive yesterday. And yeah, he can be a bit of a cunt. He's one of those 'looks totally calm, then explodes' kinda guys. He'll take it for 80mins, then punch someone. Well, maybe not punch, but you get it. :p It's nothing to worry about, imo. That's how Verratti was/is. A couple of years in a big club and he'll be just fine.

Besides, pretty much all the best players are cunts of one sort or another.

It's why Sterling won't make it.
Relax, Hitch, he will. He has!

I like his fiery character, he's a winner. Or technically, a loser with Sassuolo that desperately wants to win, you know what I meant.

True, I just don't want him getting a reputation as a trouble maker and ruining his career. As you said, Allegri will ruin him lol. He needs a strong hand like Conte or Garcia.

Well C&J Handgrade is about the highest level of quality one can expect from a pair of shoes, so you done good as far as I'm concerned. They'll last you a decade and look better each year. Good purchase.

Cool, I got to be careful not to wear them everyday. I tend to do that when I get new shoes and it wears them out quicker.

More than that, imo, he needs to play as what he is, a winger. I've no idea where we'd fit him in our 4-3-1-2. Maybe if Allegri was willing to let the 3/4ista idea die and go full Xmas tree?

---------------- Zaza ------------------

--------- Tevez ---- Berardi ---------

Pogba - Pirlo (Marchisio) - Vidal

I very much doubt it. Berardi will probably receive the Coman treatment. "He's way young yet, he can wait a year or two." Even though Coman is clearly at least twice as talented as some of our other benchers. At least.

Forget Conte or Garcia.

We need Wenger.

Sterling is a cunt until he signs that contract. And rstops going on holiday in January. This isn't the Bundesliga.

Was looking for a gif of him slapping Fernandez and found this

Rodgers must be about 4ft tall.

Wolfenstein is so fucking good. The characters are brilliant.

I bet Allegri switches back to his 4-3-3 if he has Zaza and Berardi. I think he would do a good job to get the best out of Berardi like he did with El Shaarawy, until Balo killed the flow of that team. Especially if Zaza joins up and they continue to build on their fine relationship.

I just think Allegri is a coach players don't respect/fear. Allegri isn't strong enough to prevent Berardi from become a "problem child".

Tevez will be in Argentina by then, Allegri gone with his Christmas tree, Vidal on a wheel chair, Pogba sitting on a chair made of gold in Madrid.

Like Morata

I'll die of happiness.
