So German-GAF, anyone read Das Reboot, Rafa Honigstein's book? I'm looking for something to read before the start of the season and I don't know too much about German football.

still think Pogba is stupid money that I'm still not exactly sure why Utd are willing to splash this much money for just him.

Sure it's a lot of money but you gotta look at the bigger picture, shirt revenue, adidas, Prem money etc it pays for its self in the long run.

We had to make a signing like this if we want a shot at the big time again.

Sky Sports announce their coverage for this year Premier League.

http://www.skysports.com/football/n...rns-to-sky-sports-for-its-biggest-ever-season

Gary Neville returns to Sky after his brief foray in management as a co-commentator and pundit. However, he does not have a permanent role in Monday Night Football.

For Friday Night Football, Jeff Stelling will be the presenter with Rachel Riley having some role in it.

With Ed Chamberlain leaving to ITV for horse racing, David Jones gets promoted to doing both Super Sunday and Monday Night Football and Simon Thomas gets promoted from presenting the Football League to Saturday noontime kickoff coverage.

Hayley McQueen will presents Sky Sports Ireland 3 PM coverage with Niall Quinn.

Also Jamie Carragher will try his luck in co-commentary this season.

What?

The bloke can barely speak English. Never, never, put a scouser on commentary.

Do we have a fantasy football league for this year? Checked the dedicated thread and it appears the league hasn't been renewed.

Uli Hoeness candidates for president at FC Bayern München. Voting will be in November. As club member I'm going to vote against him.

Honigstein is more known in the English speaking market and so is his book I guess?!

The story how the German FA restarted the youth system is an interesting read to say the least.
I do not know this book, but I read something similar on 11 Freunde.

He will now only win with 95% of the votes.

Mou's comments after the game criticizing the pitch for Fellaini's mistake. Fellaigoat is here to stay.

Pogba arriving in a chevy camaro. It's been a work this whole time. I'm surprised it didn't have Adidas Decals and BLAH BLAH BLAH written it all over it.

Steve McManaman is fine on BT sports when he does it.

To be fair, he doesn't go full scouse when he gets excited like Cara does.I personally can't wait for Cara to go full scouse though, should make for some good goal reactions.

They should just let Neville and Carra commentate together, that'd be funny as fuck

At the very least they have to have those 2 for the Liverpool-United games, both would be hilarious listening too.

Hello Football Gaf. Hope you have room for one more member. I was a gaffer for a few years now and been lurking around this thread for a while. The reason a haven't posted much is my busy schedule and family, but I'll try to post as much as I can. I'm 32 and I was a Manchester United fan since I was a kid. Looking forward to making new friends and talking about football. Feel free to add me on psn or xbl (my info is my Gaf profile).

Gtfo, we have enough of those already.

Because it is written in our clubs statutes.
A member that acts harmful to club matters in public or private, will lose his membership.
His persona damages the clubs reputation and we have a lot of young fans that need exemplary values and I can't support someone who was sentenced by law and give him my vote. I know everyone deserves a second chance, but from an ethical perspective it's just wrong to me.

It also depends if he is only going to be the representative president, with no power to act or if he indeed tries to be CEO and be the mightiest man in the club. The latter I wont support. In no way.

German World Cup star Rummenigge in trouble after receiving £84,000 Rolex watches during free trip to 2022 World Cup hosts Qatar

I'm with you but Rummenigge should have been the very first person to get the boot. Unfortunately he still has his post and with Hoeneß' absent he's stronger than ever.
I need Hoeneß back just to put that Two-faced snake back in his place

edit: forgot dailyfail is banned.

De Boer to Inter seems like career suicide but I wish him all the best. Just stay away from Ajax on the transfer market.

Thanks. Ended up buying it. First chapter is all right. Hopefully the rest of the book holds up. At least I'll learn some German words like stallgeruch or fleischpflanzerl but won't be able to pronounce them properly.

At least we won a trophy at Wembly. What did Liverpool win? A beatdown by Mainz the day after?

Struggled to beat a team even after almost a week of full rest. Mainz beat Liverpool Under 21s less than 21 hours after beating Barca. Sorry if you lack the brain power to use simple logic.

We're not gonna sign a left-back huh? It's gonna be Moreno and Jimmy Milner for the rest of the season.

Doesn't look like that's happening. :(

Over £175 million for one player over 5 years. How much are they set to lose if he flops? LOL what a joke.

Whatever you say Chump I hope it makes you sleep better. The team that we beat won the league last year, what did Mainz win?
