"I was really disappointed with my players today. When we perform like today I'm very angry. The players were away on international duty - that's not an excuse, but it is a reason. Some of our players came back on Friday and we played today. This made it difficult. In the end we played badly."

Pussy.

“It is great for the public here at Sunderland to see us,” said manager Brendan Rodgers. “They must have been wondering what this team everyone is talking about are all about and now they have seen. We were wonderful.

damn, he actually said that, haha.

that's sad...

Wenger says Jack Wilshere's injury is nothing serious. He should be right for Bayern next week and obviously should be rested against Blackburn like most of our squad.

Mancini usually blames himself when City lose a game they shouldn't. But here he's going for the players and rightfully so.

Yep. I honestly thought City would turn it on in the second half. Southampton were too good on the day though. It happens.

Whether City win the league or come second you just know that there will be a massive clear out in the summer.

They'll need to sign some properly good players to challenge for the Champions League.

Should probably not trust the 7-11 security cameras quite so much

You play Bayern on the 19th. Plenty of time for Wilshire to recover.

I'm much more interested to see what back 4 you wheel out if Koscielny and Vermaelen are injured.

Squillaci LOOOOOOOOOOOL

He's been banished to the Bentley Zone so I doubt he will be involved. If the current injuries stay as they are then I guess it will be:

Jenkinson Sagna Mertesacker Santos/Miquel

And no cup tied Monreal....

Rumours are Santos loan deal is done so he's gone and will never play for Arsenal again.

the list of players that need to go is huge: Rodwell, Garcia, Sinclair, Barry, Kolo, Maicon, Kolarov...

I wouldn't be surprised if Mancini gets sacked too if City doesn't win the league though..

If you were playing fifa and had infinite money like Man City, would you ever sign average players like Milner, Barry, Rodwell, Nasri, Sinclair, etc.

Surely Mancini could find better players somewhere. I realise that half of those guys probably didn't even play against Southampton but they shouldn't be there in the first place.

Don't think Mancini had a say. He wanted De Rossi at least and got slapped by #basedMarwood

Don't think Garcia's a bad player at all to be honest, he was good for Benfica but he's been played out of position. He was a nice compromise when DDR was out of price range, just needs to be played where he should be played.

Zab should have started in the centre with Maicon at RB.

The summer is going to be interesting.

Bridge, RSC, Kolo, Balotelli off the wage bill. Bridge alone is the best part of £90k a week off the bill. Add that lot up and I say you're looking at nearly £2m a month.

Who do I think will leave?!

Dzeko, Lescott, and maybe Tevez, Nasri, and Barry. Expect one hell of a clear out, if not then the players like Boyata who just go out on loan all the time.

We paid dearly in the summer. Fergie must have promised himself not to lose on GD again so he bought RVP.

We wanted him, Hazard and De Rossi and got none.

De Rossi is the biggest loss as he offers the ability for Mancini to switch between 4 and 3 at the back without making subs. Nastasic and Maicon kind of offer it. But Garcia...nah. He's not good enough. All Spaniards are meant to be footballing Gods but he's just ordinary. Not quick enough.

:( going for some full cream now to have with a Belgian chocolate pudding.

Thankfully Gouffran didn't break his leg today, according to Newcastle.

I hope Dembele is alright after Cabaye gave him one of his famous leg-breakers. The twat is like a French Scholes.

Maicon is fucking awful, he is old and rusty as fuck.

Dzeko is one of our best players and the top scorer. He shouldn't leave. Tevez, on the other hand, hasn't been the same since he spent like 6 months in Argentina doing nothing. He should leave

But Barry is?

Garcia is an extremely competent DM and has been in the Portuguese League and the CL for a while now. Certainly not the best around, but he's got more energy and pace than Barry, and I wouldn't say is less of an intelligent player either. Playing him at CB is Mancini's stupid fucking way of trying to prove he's a tactician.
