Already posted all my thoughts on this the other day.

What positions/who would you buy if you were Madrid and had 70m?

I'd go for:
-1 CB (dunno who) to put Ramos at right-back, and play next to Varane
-De Rossi, fuck Khedira off and rest Alonso when necessary
-Falcao or Cavani

First priority is a top top top class striker. Wouldn't necessarily need a CM provided Sahin can get form back and is staying at Madrid, because Sahin/Alonso/Khedira/Modric is a pretty great CM line up on paper, but I see what you mean. CB and RB is needed tbh, Ramos isn't good enough at RB and nor is Arbeloa.

But yeah, they need a striker.

He won't come back to us, and despite the Chelsea links, I can't see him going to another PL club. He also probably wouldn't go anywhere else in Spain but Sociedad, bit I reckon he's still got one last big move in him before he goes back to see out his career there.

Then I'd bring back Carvajal for 7m or whatever it is, and then bring Sahin back and start playing him next to Alonso/Modric until he bedded in a bit more. On paper, that's a fine team.

There has been some rumors but I doubt it's more than that. Alonso only got one year left but... I doubt it. Would gladly take him if he's at a decent price though, even with him being kind of old.

Oh I know that, but considering his competition, he's basically first choice striker by default. Ronaldo plays on the left, Di Maria on the right because moving Ozil out there nullifies him, and of course he plays best behind the striker.
