I feel like we need more quality in midfield overall. Going into next season I'm classing Carrick, Cleverley and Anderson as the only CMs in our squad. And Anderson may leave or will be injured for most of next season anyway. We need 2 players there to fill out the squad and if we buy one and sign Lampard up on a free I won't be disappointed.

He is still a good player.

He might add a bit of quality for a season or two. But he'll be 35 at the start of next season. He'd be useful to have as an experienced player I suppose. He'd be someone our younger players could look up to.
