Poli was a bit worse than usual, but having to face Busquets, Xavi and Iniesta is a different thing than the average serie A midfielder. Balo tried to do something when he came in, created a good chance for Kakà and mostly defended the ball when he had it on his feet helping the rest of the team, something that Robinho couldn't do.

Klopp bought him on too late. By the time he was on, Arsenal had decided to sit back, crowd the box and restrict the space. Without that space to run on the counter, pace is pretty much pointless
