Sure, why not. Not like the Oscars have any integrity that's at stake.
I hope it wins because it will make a ton of people mad.
Edit: Ah, no nominations yet. I hope it gets nominated for my reason above.
Thisfucking chimichangas!!! XDDDD
43 rejection letters from Fox.
What a bunch of fools. How many other hilarious and otherwise would be popular films got rejected by them? I wonder.

Honestly nominating Deadpool would actually restore a bit of integrity to it. Instead of the nomination going for the average shitty ass Oscar bait movies year after year.Sure, why not. Not like the Oscars have any integrity that's at stake.
Hindsight is 20/20. This is like saying "Why didn't Marvel make an Iron Man movie before 2008?" For every Deadpool there is a Dredd, where you have a good movie that barely turns a profit.
If this wins Best Picture, the Academy is no longer out of touch.
THAT'S how much the academy is out of touch.
Well in the end it really had nothing to say. It's a parody through and through. For a movie that loves to be a parody, I thought the writing of Deadpool followed the exact same formula and ended up being pretty cliché by the end.
Since when has the oscars been about objectively choosing the best movies of the year?
Since never. I say go ahead and get Deadpool on there.
I hope it wins. It's not the best movie, but it sure as fuck deserves all the love it gets. I'd love Reynolds to get an award for all the stuff he had to sit through to get this movie made.
La La Land is exactly the kind of movie the Academy rewards.
This. So much this. I know enough movie snobs that would be PISSED if it was even nominated, lat alone won. If it pulled that off for best picture, I would have fuel for YEARS to make them cry.
Before the 2005 movie, Peyton Reed wanted to make a Fantastic Four movie set in the 60's, could have been fun
like the one leaked video and Ryan is shown, him admitting?
