The soundtracks to the crossover versions of these games are always top-shelf, so I hope the same goes for this one.

Parodies of 1920s silent film villains are great everywhere and ESPECIALLY great in the otherwise docile Super Mario universe.

Also, he's always a fun character gameplay-wise. RECOGNIZE HIS UNIMPEACHABLE CHARISMA.

Well I purchased this game. It is a cute and fun little game to play while spending time with family. Plus how can you go wrong with Mario and Slime in the same game?

Is there a place in the game where I can force Mario to simply sit down, hold up a sign that says "WE'RE THE 99%, BANKS ARE EVIL", while having food stamps on one hand while smoking weed?

So, is the game as slow as people suggest? I want to get it, I think its something my fiancee and I would like to play but I wonder if its a bit much.

You can control the goal amount, text speed and toggle conversations, so the game can be as long/short as you want it to be.

But this is a legit board game, and it is going to take longer than your average Mario Party session.

I'm so bummed for PALland not getting either one - this or Mario Party 9 - for Christmas. Damn I need my fix of Nintendo board games.

Bought it, spent like 30 min in just tutorial until I realized that I can speed things up. I started the tour and I can swear that luck is a troll :(

Prince Princeton is what they've named him. Their Japanese names are Prin (written プリン as in pudding) and Cookie.

Well, Pudding and Cookie were in the original randomized name lists from the Famicom version. They just landed on those when they added the characters as guests in DQ9. And, well, IIRC also the mobile version of DQ2 they call them that somewhere. The only official name the player character ever had was Aren, in the novel, wherein the other prince was named Conan and the princess was Selia.

I was listening to the Quester's Rest and Casino song while drawing the op. Well actually I listened to them all, but I gotta dig the Dragon Quest Casino song. Pity it wasn't in DQ9.

Since Mario Sports Mix didn't have a single reference to SMRPG, it's amazing they even referenced SMRPG at all in this game.
Even though I'm pretty sure the Mushroom Kingdom song was in the DS Itadaki Street...

If you take that long on most of the maps in this game, you most likely don't know how to play the game very well, and you haven't put any effort into doing better.

To be fair, none of them had played the game before and were going in blind. They didn't want to bog down the show with the tutorial. It was a good choice because it turned out awesome.
