Can someone please just get Wilmer (the guy in the foreground holding it) and the sign from the image while removing the background and make the BG transparent? I'd really appreciate it. Bonus points if there's a Mets logo thrown in there plz.

If that's asking too much, can you just add the Mets logo (This) into my current avatar somewhere?

Would someone be kind enough to turn this into a GAF avatar? I used it a few years ago in another forum (notice the 1 pixel wide boarder, which can be removed of course). Would be awesome if the background could also be made transparent (or "fade" into transparency, which might look even better), but if that proves to difficult or time consuming, that wouldn't be so important.

Thanks. In which way did you remove the text. I feel bad for checking this when I just came out of GIMP to try and do this myself. I found I couldn't figure out how to get rid of the text without painting over it so I just cropped it to the head and made an avatar out of that. I feel bad. I'll use probably for next month. How'd you get rid of the text?

I know I just got one made, but I wanted something semi-eery for Halloween. I tried to do something myself, but if the background of an image isn't one uniform color, I have a hard time with the transparency. I was wondering if someone could clean this up for me?

I don't know how it's done in GIMP (never used it), I use PS.

Photoshop has a feature called content-aware fill, which basically guesses, dependant on its surroundings, how a selection should look like. You can then Select the text with the magic wand, content aware fill and touch up with the brush. It won't look perfect, but since avatars are scaled way down, nobody would notice.
Gimp doesn't have this, but you could just sample the colors right next to the letters, paint over the letters, touch them up so the creases and shadows "work" and then scale down.
