I bought Ultimate and an additional VIP Pass, which I expected would be a pain in the ass due to my experience with Forza 5, but everything worked great right out of the gate.

Why did you buy an additional VIP pass? Ultimate already came with one. Or did you mean you already had VIP from Forza 5?

I'm assuming you didn't buy them both on the same account then? Because if you have VIP working from the Ultimate edition, you are the first I've heard of.

You're right. The pass from the Ultimate edition is not working. His was the one I was concerned about because it was the one that gave us problems last time. But my VIP pass isn't working.
Wait... how can you use 1 digital copy on 2 consoles with each running a different account?

Digital copies on Xbox One provide two licenses, as they do on 360, PS4 and PS3.

Yep. I'm doing it with my brother. I have his Xbox set to "my home Xbox" and he gets all of my games/content for free.
Not related to your post, but I just wanted to say that your drivatar is a damn M. Rossi in my game; always way out in front of the pack.
Also I figured that following ZORBS around would result in finding hidden collectables since they've had the game for a while, but it led me to nothing!

LOL. Sorry dude. I'm working on a map for all collectibles, should be ready in a day or two. 7/10 barn finds so far for me.

Better/more interesting than any console racing AI I've played against. Yes, sometimes they are aggressive, but it tends to always makes sense and they aren't anywhere near the complaints of erratic behavior like all of the early Drivatar issues of F5 (which I never really experienced myself). They feel more like real players but behave more inline with racers who aren't out to kill you or themselves.

You can have your digital content on two different consoles at the same time. Here is how it works.
You can designate one console as the "home console". Any gamertag can use any digital content on that console. So ideally all content should be purchased on this console under the main gamertag. So here you could buy the content under your gamertag, and then your brother could log in under his gamertag and play whatever games you bought, etc.
You can then log in with that main gamertag on another machine, and you can use all your digital content as long as you are logged onto Xbox Live.
What resolution is your tv?
Lol I didn't even think of that. Might turn to that later on.

Can someone who's managed to get the VIP perks working explain the benefits other than the additional cars?
Does the x2 experience & money give any advantages to the game other than fast-tracking progress with the acquiring of showroom cars (we still have to buy cars like in forza 5 right)?

You're either sitting too far away from your TV, or your vision isn't up to snuff, and I say that with no intent to offend. A lot of people sit too far away from their TV relative to it's size, and a lot of people (like me) have poorer vision than they realize. I have no issues reading the text on my TV.
