The best way to do it is to have the base colour of the car be gold. Then use black layers to mask it out.

I did have a look about and saw some YT videos, I did see quite a lot of comments about people trying and it not working anymore, I have had a go but I cannot get it to work either, also I just don't have the skills to do it and more so with some of the vinyl's on the car, yes there are only a few but I cannot mask around them close enough.
Why not just let people pick from all the colours?
This is the real car.

And yes, you can do the technique that zorbie said, although it will make reproduction without a doubt way much harder. I just recently made this which uses this effect:
I'm assuming for whatever reason having user editable shinyness or access to reflection/refraction for stickers hasn't been included.

I've just realized the car pass doesn't contain this Porsche DLC. I can still win cars from Forzathon if I don't have it?
yup. you can still get Porsches in this month's Forzathon. You just won't have the ones in the pack.

Every weekend there are challenges to complete in-game for prizes. Start​ the game on a weekend and you'll be told it's Forzathon, and you'll be able to see the list of 3/4 challenges for the event.

I'm thinking gymkhana. That would be new to the Forza franchise and the team certainly has experience from their time with Codemasters.

Dear Lord please no. To me it was the worst part of the DIRT series, the game's got a beautiful open world, I don't want to have wasted money on the expansion pack if it's going to be single-car precision drifting...
No thanks I don't need a pack of the focus from blizzard mountain that need suspension adjusted to not spin out in actual racing

Oh I don't want it either, I'm just saying it's the most likely option.
My previous guess was Porsche "expansion" but thankfully we got a car pack instead.

I will try and do better, I think I will have a go at a GAF one with the logos I have, I want another GT2 but they are CR-500k in the shop but are going for more in the auction rooms! I don't understand because if you don't have the DLC they you cannot buy one as it will show a market place error.
I have seen others mentioning an issue with the 30% off cars from the shop, but nobody is saying what the actual issue is?
I want to know and also if it works with the 10% off you can pay for in the Skills thing, thus giving 40% off, I want to get something like the Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa, Ferrari 250 GT, Lamborghini Veneno, one of them CR-10m cars anyway, I am not sure it is worth it though compared to the HE cars :/
The discount doesn't work at all. I want to buy a McLaren F1 GT.

I thought it may be better for me to buy some of the cars with the Tokens you buy with real money, I have had a look and the 250 Testa Rossa are 10,000 and I looked at how much these would cost to buy and they were £84, that's correct EIGHTY FOUR POUNDS EIGHTY FOUR ACTUAL POUNDS! are they insane?

if there are any spare credit's going though.When I was a kid, the McLaren F1 was the best car in some games (NFS II, IV, Cruis'n World), so it ended up as one of my favorites.

I didn't buy the most expensive HE cars.
Not a fan of them, I prefer to race with stock cars.

I'm like level 700 something and got most of the HE cars with wheel spins. I also get 450k or whatever each week with forza rewards. I ran laps around Goliath going for its leaderboard, but did a 50 lap race at some point too.
I only use like a dozen cars I love really, so 40 million is more than I need.
Nah, I think they know how unpopular something like that would be.
It will be another island, with Rally.
Maybe a new city....
The GT version is actually a bit less powerful but has the perfect look, so sleek and awesome compared to the pile of knives lambos look nowaways
I'd love an island or somewhere with loads of flowing segments and as few 90 turns as possible for some proper racing fun

Holy shit. Probably a cross-country race. Do you have Blizzard Mountain? The Blizzard Peak cross-country has a big ramp at the start which is good for that.

That's a lot! how long did the 50 laps take though?
I am level 460ish I get the CR-450k a week and I have the VIP spins but the amount I win is usually pretty low and the HE cars I have only won about five and they were the easy ones like the Corvette, Polaris buggy, Focus and the M3, I have had to buy all of the rest other than the ones on the #Forzathons the:
Lamborghini Huracan cost me CR-7mm
Subaru BRZ cost me CR-3.2m
Nissan GTR Black cost me CR-3.8m
M4 cost me CR-2m
Jaguar Project 7 cost me CR-2m
Supra RZ cost me CR-2.5m
even the Torana cost me CR-600k!
That's CR-21m then there are the others on top like the Ford Escort and Mustang so there must have been CR-30m spent on HE cars alone, and then I like to tune my cars up
I did get a prize of CR-5m from zorbsie for the livery competition which went to the Huracan though.
That's a pretty easy challenge really, the issue for people will be not knowing about the day that the event is on.
Mine is working ok, the 30% discount is not working though, what are you on X1 or PC?
The way I do the #Forzathons is each one at once and I don't do anything until I get the notification, I mean the other week with the #barrel roll' one where you had to do fifteen I think it was, I had done a load and it never flashed up and I went into it again and read that it had to be done in a Nissan lol and I was doing it in Subaru lol, this weeks you need to do so-many 'kangaroo jumps' I just drove over the dunes until it flashed up, the thing I have always go on about is I wish it showed on the screen how many jumps or rolls or whatever you have done like 10 out of 15.

There tree stumps dotted around, there are a couple of areas where there are a lot grouped together.
This is the full Combo/Skill list from the Forza site.

Air - All four wheels off the ground.
Burnout - Accelerate to lose traction while on pavement.
Clean Racing - No collisions in an amount of time?
Drafting - Follow an opponent within a certain distance at over 50(?)mph. Oncoming counts.
Drift - Slide sideways for at least (10 meters?) without using the E-brake.
E-Drift - Use the E-brake to slide sideways for at least (10 meters)?
Fruit Salad - Wreck the banana road sign
Lumberjack - Wreck a tree stump (around the Mill etc) at over 50mph
Near Miss - Pass a car you are not racing against at at least (50mph?)
One Eighty - Use the E-brake to spin your car around and accelerate in the opposite direction.
Pass - Pass a car you are racing against.
Sketchy Pass - Pass with damage?
Skill Chain - Accumulate a skill chain multiplier?
Snowman - Wreck a snowman (Blizzard Mountain only)
Speed - Travel (450 meters?) while doing more than (100mph?) the entire way.
Trading Paint - Scrape a car as you pass (opposite directions?)
