In all seriousness, the FH series, for me, is the most fun I have with racing games. I guess fun can be overrated.
Like I said I am not much into racing games so I made that clear too in my other comment.

I think what i mean is this, this tiny minority wants to select a pronoun and the devs grant them that. So in return I say I want to pick a "male", not body A, not body 1 etc... Know what I mean? And people will say why do I care... But then it's like why do THEY care and want to select their pronouns? That's my gist.
If I opened a game and I'm selecting a character and there's male, female, and then another little option for body 1, body 2, whatever... It at least grants people to select what they want. It's retarded but at least give both sides their preferential choices.
It's more the principle of it being a sweeping general selection giving the tiny tiny tiiiny pronoun people their way and not letting me simply say "I'm male" in a game.
Edit : the options seem to swing only one direction

I mean you can say you're male in the game anyway. Just say that you play as a male, you don't need to label to say, you can just say that you're a male when talking about the game. These are all labeling things that don't really need the discourse as it's getting.

I know but that aside, why does it swing in the direction of the pronoun freaks? It's not even about the game it's the principle, why do they get the preferential treatment? They're not forced to select male or female, but I'm forced to select a pronoun or a body a or b, see what I mean?

No, I get what you're saying. I don't understand or care about the pronoun stuff either. Just let me choose my body type and then I can go back and choose the finer details later. It's because they want to cater to the gen Z crowd and it's a game for everybody. Which means you're going to get these types of things happen in the gaming space (and god knows whereever else). I don't have that big of a problem with it, it's just annoying and kind of preachy to spread it. But that's just me.

I can get past it also it's more of me just questioning why they can't simply make all options I guess just to feel like they still adhere to reality, I mean coddling these people is one thing by adding options but acting like there isn't just male and female is so insane to me that like I said have male, female and then if they can't help themselves then add options for the freaks. It just burns my ass that they cater to one mentality it seems.

ACG reviewed the game and highlighted the low res side of when it comes to some of the damage modelling or the lack of significant damage being possible on the cars...I guess that was a redline by the manufacturers and possibly the complex geometry involved in all of that.....destruction derby this game isn't...and never aimed to be

P Pey. Do we know if the game will receive path tracing? I know it would be somewhat killer for an open world game like this, but the Horizon games are incredibly perfomative for their looks. This is one game I'd love to play with Path Tracing.

Racing games are oddly forgotten in the real GOTY conversation, but the Forza Horizon serie is still among the most consistently awarded for specifically racing.

If Driveclub was given the 4k/60 update treatment (that it deserves damn you sony) then it would look as good as any racer today if not better.
Btw- if FH6 doesn't have rtgi on ps5 pro I'll be pissed (it won't of course based on other MS titles on the Pro- but it definitely could if they wanted to)

There's no beating GTA6 regardless. Wolverine is going to be good too. Ocarina of Time Remake should be also good.

The technology for better graphics in Driveclub was there. Activating the photo mode and seeing how the graphics "switched" was a taste of that. Too bad the game was buried even before PS4 Pro became a thing.

Any reviews on the Steam Deck performance? I have a 4070 but playing on the SD would be nice. I know it's "Verified" but I would like some real reviews.

I certainly hope so. While the game does look nice, the ray tracing implemention is certainly limited in scope. Maybe additional light bounces can be tweaked through a .ini file. There are some areas where there is noticeable smearing, if you know where to look.

Man i remember on old GAF when people would post those DriveClub gifs all the time, and i often said it looked like the best looking game ever.

...and no open world.
When my friend had to go away for work for 6 weeks, and he loaned me his PS4 with his games, DriveClub didnt have quite the same effect when seeing the game on the big screen lol.
