As if his shows don't feature him enough he puts this out? Guy must have a huge ego to satisfy

looking at that lineup, my first thought is to reflect on what an incredible rollercoaster mcfarlane's fall and rise has been. i'm not entirely fond of everything he's turned out lately, but you have to admire the way he's really made the most of it. i also watched an episode of FAMILY GUY from the third season (i think it was third season) on adult swim the other day--the one where they have to go into witness protection--and i cracked up a whole hell of a lot.

so anyway, yeah, good on you, mcfarlane. he's really become fox's new groening to a degree that groening wasn't even fox's groening, and he's rolling in the cash as a result.

To live and die in Dixie is probably the best Family Guy episode. Loved it from start to end :lol

Listen Chris, I read a book saying that women are from Venus, all right so here's what you get her. Thick layers of sulphuric acid, viscous surface rock, and coronets which seem to be collapsed domes of a large magma chamber. Here's five dollars.

:lol

I'm surprised this thread hasn't turned into a total whine fest yet. I'm looking forward to tonight's schedule, personally.

No crappy Simpsons! Yay!

Remember King of the Hill and how even a shitty episode of it was generally better than the entire rest of the night? You have no fucking idea how much I miss that show. One of the best things ever on TV.

Seriously how the hell has Mcfarlane managed to get all these shows on fox? The first 3 seasons of family guy where great but its been going down the shitter since then. American dad is ok i suppose. Comparing Seth to Greoning is a disgrace he could never come close to the genius of classic Simpsons or Futarama. And Trey and Matt shit all over the guy.

American Dad has been amazing since season 3 (I think ?) and it only seems to get better and better. I agree with you on Family Guy but I have to say that the current season has been fairly good. Comparing Seth to Greoning isn't that much of an disgrace nowdays. While I have utmost respect for classic Simpsons and Futurama that doesn't mean I can just ignore how AWFUL the last eight years of Simpsons has been. They aren't even on same level with the crappiest Family Guy seasons. And I'm being generous here becuase even season 11-13 sucked hard but at least those seasons had few really great episodes.

King of the Hill was the best animated show on Fox but unfortunately it got canned :(

oh, yeah, i don't mean to compare mcfarlane to groening in terms of the quality of their shows. i just mean as far as developing a relationship with fox, it's impressive that mcfarlane is now fulfilling a bigger role on the network than groening with SIMPSONS and FUTURAMA ever did. it's insane. look at it: two and a half hours of nothing but stuff he has his hand in. it's hard enough to get one show on tv. this guy has pretty much taken over sunday night.

Fox was a new network back in the day when Simpsons came about.

wouldn't that be even MORE reason to try and load it down with stuff from the creator of their most successful show? i'm not saying groening had much more to give, but yeah

Shadowy, other-worldly spirit friends drag Peter away. This ep. (as intended in the beginning) is a great tribute to Patrick Swyaze.
