"Frank is super excited to be working in comics again. This is not going to be his last project for DC," Lee said when asked whether there were any plans for him and Miller to re-team to finish their story "I would love to get back on ['All Star Batman & Robin'] and close it out. He's got a great ending to the story and a really cool final scene that was described to me that is just classic.

I'm not a comic reader but I'm really familar with the ASBAR series thanks to I-Mockery's recaps (read it. Linkara is good but I-mock is sublime) and I, for one, cannot wait for the continuation if this series is picked up again.

What say you, friends? Is the world ready to curse Batman and his lemonade once again? Is Dick Grayson still age twelve?

Absolutely loved this series. Can't wait to see it concluded.

On another note, I think you will see more rushed/random projects with Miller. I fear he doesn't have much longer with us.

Is Frank Miller healthy again?

I think last time he has been out was for the last Sin City film...not looking good.

If he's healthy again I'll be surprised, he looked like skin stretched over a skeleton last time I saw a pic of him. Wouldn't have believed it was him at all. Isn't it suppose to be cancer?

I'm not gonna lie: I read the first collection or two of ASBAR and I really liked it. It is utterly ridiculous at times but damn does it have good art.

It gets a lot of hate around these parts. At the time? It was an over-the-top guilty pleasure that broke up the monotony of the main Batman arc. I think the biggest problem down the line was after the praise All Star Superman received, I think people tried to lump them together in direct comparison.

I have a morbid curiosity to see how this closes. I think All-Star Batman and Robin was fascinating, yet at the same time think it's despicable.

Modern day Frank Miller is too much of a whackjob.

This won't happen. Lee's just talking to talk.

If anything, I'll suggest that if it finishes, it'll finish as something someone else completes for him after "co-writing" it in the (very) short time he does work on it.

Whoever is supposed to be his caretaker is seriously fucking up by letting him go back to work for DC at all.

I'd love to see this but I doubt it'll happen. Miller doesn't look like he has much time left either.

Crossed my mind too.

What I don't get is what is taking so long. Writing is very, very, very, very, very hard...but not in a physical sense.

Batman would totally be a smug asshole in real life, so I think ASBAR deserves credit for that.

Alan Moore already covered this in Watchmen. He stated that he wrote Rorchach to be what a man who dresses like a Bat and devotes every waking minute to fighting crime would be like in real life......a psychopath.

Supersonic, idiotic, disconnecting, not respecting, who would really ever wanna go and top that
Man, in 2005 if you would have told me that this still wouldn't have been completed by 2015...

It'll sell well. People will pick it up just to see how ridiculous the conclusion is.

I remember being super pumped for the All Star line back in the day. Batman, I couldn't care less about...but at least All Star Superman was awesome. Too bad DC didn't do more with the line.

at last, for christ's sake
thank god I outgrown Lee's art circa 1999 coz I woudn't be able to put up with Miller's dickcheese-coated writing anymore

The thing is, how does that excuse nearly everyone acting like human refuse? The Justice League are either assholes or inept idiots, Black Canary is a thief who gets off on hurting people.

I understand people saying Batman should be a sociopath, but does that preclude everyone else in the story?

Yeah I enjoyed it, but I was 15 when it come out and I liked a lot of things I'd hate now.
I read it earlier this year and I'm 32. :lol

I had seen plenty of the hate before I started reading it. Turned out my library had copies of it and so I read it earlier this year after reading through all of the Walking Dead that my library had. I hadn't really read comics since back in the late 90s (couldn't get back into X-Men after the Age of Apocalypse) before reading Walking Dead and ASBAR so it was kind of fun. I did read through AS Superman afterwards and enjoyed that, too.

That's really weird, since he's literally Ditko's Question with a different mask.

I would love see more asshole Miller version of superman in this universe. Of course more Green Lantern trolling is welcome the smug faces on Batman and Robin was amazing

I am jealous of the universe out there that has a wonderful All Star line of comics full of great books from all sorts of prominent writers

Ours just has the superman and the "so bad the line is dead " AssBar
