free TV is awesome

you ever mess around with all those free channels that come with your smart tv, or the free live TV you can watch for free with Roku?

they got bangers hidden all throughout it. they have a channel that does Antique Roadshow 24/7, and another that does Antique Roadshow UK 24/7.

they got channels that play Mystery Science Theater 3000 all day

they even got a channel called SCARES by SHUDDER which is basically Shudder streaming (although it seems to play pretty much only Creepshow. Creepshow is great tho)

they have a Star Trek one which is currently doing a TNG marathon. great if you don't have Paramount +, which is where Star Trek lives now. they got Crunchy Roll.

they have a bunch of paranormal channels and channels that play stuff about UFOs and aliens all day

with the rising costs of Netflix and shit, it's definitely worth checking out IMO

I don't bother with Roku and just do over-the-air.
been a minute since I bothered with OTA, but when I was doing it +10 years ago the channels I would get are severely limited.

you get anything like what I posted in OP? for me it was primarily channel 1-11, which is cool because you got PBS, but not much else worth watching

In my area, I get the news, public-access channels like PBS, and some ESPN sports, mainly football (which I'm not really a fan of, since I'm more of a hockey kind of guy, but it's nice to have if you enjoy it). There's also some channels that do similar things to the Roku channels in that they play a specific type of program, i.e. old sitcoms like Andy Griffith (great show imo), sci-fi movies, and a couple others. Approximately 50 channels if you have a far-reaching antenna.

Yeah I accidentally pressed a button on my remote several years ago and they hit me with like a channel guide interface and some MTV shows, it was nostalgic. It makes for good lunch time tv. The other day I was watching American Gladiators... some beautiful women there.

Tubi is great too, and also has a bunch of channels
Funny enough I’ve had better luck finding movies to watch on Tubi lately than my pay streaming services

I actually haven’t tried the live TV on there to be honest, but they have an absolutely massive movie selection, including tons of horror

AJUMP23

Parody of actual AJUMP23
Amazon has one that shows old cartoons like transformers and dungeons and dragons all the time.

I want one that plays captain N.

"tell me you are american without telling me you are american"
but for real, in most of the world, free TV channels are by far the most popular and widely watched chennels. :messenger_grinning_sweat:

in germany Samsung has a hundreds of pre-programmed live stream channels called Samsung TV Plus tho, and I really like those. they are integrated by partnering with streaming channels and apps.

they have a 24/7 X-Factor (known in the US as Beyond Belief) channel, they have a channel called Gringo for westerns (they show lots of Terence Hill stuff usually), they have a Nick channel where classic Nickelodeon shows are shown, there is a 24/7 Top Gear channel and so on.
many of them are both live channels and have an on demand library you can go through by pressing the red button (which most "normal" free TV channels also do these days)

Can You Imagine What SureAI Is Going To Do With Garfield?
All I have is Antenna TV. It's free after installation but it's mostly old shows. That's fine since I like a lot of sitcoms from the 1970s.

Pluto TV has both MS3K and Rifftrax channels.
Samsung offers their own streaming app too. Pluto and Samsung have similar coverage.
I also use an antenna and Vsee Box.

Totally agree with the OP.
There's soo much good, free, and minimal commercial content with these IP TV channels from Samsung, LG, and Roku. It's fantastic.
I also agree with some of the OTA stuff. Quality Star Trek reruns from the Original series and NG.

I've personally been going through the low tier Amazon Prime movies. I have found a few genuine gems in that pile of shit.

There are a surprising number of werewolf westerns, mutated shark CGI fests, Dinosaur hunger games-likes, etc.

I watched this one movie "Vs. Wild" which was like a poor man's Predator (the first one).

If you set your standards really low, there's some watchable stuff on there.

I don't bother paying for anything anymore. Free streaming like Pluto is enough. I wouldn't have signed up for Paramount but now that I have a free sub, I really like it. If there is something I really want to watch on Netflix or Disney and none of my friends or family currently have it, I'll figure it out (cough).

Pluto, Tubi, or Roku have some good stuff. I usually leave star trek running, but they also have adams family or MXC. There's no point in paying for cable unless you're a news or sports addict

Yes, it's actually shockingly good. I mean, there's a channel that literally plays Forensic Files 24 hours a day.. what more could you want? The wild thing is that so many people don't realize these free channels exist even.

All the time. I mainly watch top gear and universal monsters. The fire stick is cool because it can load some channels from other streaming services and incorporate them all into the tv guide. Android tv can do the same. But i use Kodi so I can merge all the free tv platforms like samsung tv, roku tv, plex, etc. all into one tv guide.

I recently dropped Youtube TV. Besides sports, which I watched most college games OTA anyway, almost every cable channel is running episodes of older tv shows. Most of those are available through free apps anyway.
