Freedom force vs the 3rd reich

Blackace

if you see me in a fight with a bear, don't help me fool, help the bear!
Just picked up FFvs3rd and Pirates! today. Have not even had time to play Pirates! because FF rocks! I liked the first one for a bit, but lost interest after a bit. does this one kind of do the same thing or does it stay fresh?

It does the same thing as Freedom Force I'm affraid so. But it's easy to come back anytime to play a short online game or single player mission.

I was very very very disappointed with Pirates! Back when I heard it was getting an update I was ecstatic. Im a huge pirate fan and loved the original back when i was a wee lad. However, the game did not live up to expectations. Its fun for a few days until you realize you are just doing the same thing over and over and over again. You would think that after 15 years that Sid Mier would have thought of a few things he wanted to add to the game.

One of the kickers is that the game IS NOT mod-friendly! Arghh

I almost shat myself when I saw that from your avatar on the title screen. Being that I live in Japan and I am a Japanese history major, and WWII buff... too bad life wasn't more like bad comics from the 50s... hahaha :lol

I am about to spend a few hours with it...now. however, if it is exactly the same as more old C-64 game with better graphics and slightly more crap to do I'll be happy as Michael Jackson in a daycare center...

Believe me this is exactly what I was thinking. And it is very fun for about a day then it grows old. Keep me updated no what you think, I am curious.

Freedom Force vs. the 3rd Reich is an awesome game. Great hyperbolic homage to Kirby/Lee/Simon and you gotta love the Killa-Rilla music. Seriously, aside from Pirates, it's my favorite PC game of the past 6 months.

And I'm not just saying that because they built and made GamerDad for use in the game itself. I can post a link if you want. (Disclosure, I review the game for Yahoo in early April, they offered to do this after I gave the game a 9 of 10)
Here's a pic (GamerDad is 2nd from left):

Gamerdad that rocks hardcore!!! Anyways Pirates! is slick... so far so good... 3 quick hours down the drain. Very much like the first one. However, it is a little sad that we are where we are and the game is only a slightly bit better than the first one asides from the graphics. Also sword fights get a little boring... and I get this whole Guywood feeling from my main character... I wish I could have made a brother.. :lol

All in all good fun, dancing is more fun than sword fighting... I'll need more time with both of the games to make before I could say how great they are.... bot both are great games for the PC...something that has been lacking as of late
