Fresh and So Clean, A.K.A How to clean yourself!

Lets get this sorted.

Body Wash:
Dove soap is the worst kind on this planet! Maybe it's just me but has anybody else who's used it feel greasy after? It's like lotion...

So I found some new soap last week while taking a shower "Dial" tried it out and...WOW. What a difference. My skin felt so squeaky clean and I wasn't left what that horrible greasy feel.

Shampoo:
Next up Shampoo. Don't use Head And Shoulders...use Herbal Essences. Variety of scents and they actually get your hair really clean and sharp.

Toothpaste:
Brushing your teeth...oh so many people skip this one. I do as well every several days when I'm in a rush. But when I'm not I use Colgate. I prefer the plaque prevention one but othes are fine. I'm not sure what they put in there but when you feel the past in comparison to others it's a lot more "grainy" and allows for more contact against your teeth for a deeper clean.

ToothBrush
:
Add Oral B Pulsar and you're good to go.

Shaver:
Shaving! If you want a smooth face it's best to shave every morning when you wake up. I say for the guys use the Gillette Fusion blade and for women the Venus. I prefer shaving with hot water after every swipe.

Deodorant
:
Mitchum. Simple white solid in a green case, does the job ridiculously well. Old Spice is also really good, smell wise anyway.

And that's about it! I do this every morning and always feel refreshed.

Post your list and let's see who you guys clean yourselves...and please tell em nobody uses Axe products...

Yeah, that Dial is brand new.

scrub your pits, crack, and sack

...women should love you
:lol I hope everyone does that. Those are the areas that don't get much breathing room and build up dirt quickest.

New as in "It's a new product"? I'm pretty sure I saw it before, my parents always bought Dove and some other kind.

Who actually skips brushing? And are you sure that greasy feel isn't moisturized skin?

Tried a few soaps lately and went back to Axe Snake Peel for the texture and feel...same for American Crew Tea Tree shampoo.

I like the gritty Crest.

Body Wash: Old spice

Shampoo: Switch from Garnier Fructis(The one that smells like apples) and Pantene Pro-V

Toothpaste: Colgate whitening one.

Deodorant: Degree Ultra clear.

Mach 3 > Fusion. Anyone who disagrees is a MORON!

I started using a Fusion the other day, far less irritation on my neck than what my Mach 3 used to give me. :D

I don't see any mention of brushing/scraping your tongue or massaging your gums with your fingers.

Good point, there's also a serious lack of exfoliation, blackhead removal, oil treatments for hair health, and self-enemas.

how did you find a new soap while taking a shower? It's not new at all, dskillz was being sarcastic.

aren't you glad you used dial... don't you wish everyone did?

I would just like to recommend all of you to go out and buy Tropical Blast Toothpaste.

It makes me feel good every morning.

Soap.

Some natural stuff from a trendy hippy shop.

Shampoo

Some expensive stuff that stops my hair fallin' out

Face

dermatologica anything, ROC or something, also use a seperate handcloth to dry my face.

Deoderant

Roll-on Botanics (Boots brand)

Tootpaste

Sensitive teeth paste, any mouth wash, and any American Floss (the dentist said American brands are best)

This is only a recent change, due to my new flatmate, my skin's getting better, I did have bad acne scars, slowly fading. And I have a facial once a month.

I meant like "Oh wow, there's some new soap in the tray that I haven't seen before!":lol

It's seriously the greatest soap ever.

I think Axe deodorant is the best I've ever used. It's a very good antiperspirant and it has a lot of endurance. I never have to worry about fading awhile when I'm out doing stuff, like I use to with other deodorants.

Most dove soaps have a moisturizer in it and that might be the "oily" feeling you were feeling. Every time I use dial soap my body feels dry and I end up itching a lot. Not a big fan of that.

Disgusting, and they don't work. For me..

mmm i love shower puffs. they really scrub and help slough off your dead skin and dirt, and they're much softer than a loofah. and since they are essentially netted plastic, they're not a bacteria farm like a soggy wash cloth. best shower accessory ever.

I used to use those when I was younger. Not now though, I just wash myself with soap.

Body Wash - Old Spice Aqua Reef - Its ok but teh ladies like it.

Shampoo - Emu Oil, Nizoral 2%, Nizoral 1%, Coal Tar

Toothpaste - Colgate with whitening. I don't think the whitening works but whatever. Comes in a sparkly green box.

Toothbrush - Generic store brand. I go through a new toothbrush every six weeks. As soon as the strands start to fray, its time for a new one.

Shaver - Mach 3 Power. My neck gets irritated extremely easy so shaving is a gentle exercise. Even then, I still get some red spots. Fortunately, face stubble is in fashion. So I shave every 2-3 days.

Deodorant - See Body Wash. I use the same scent for my body wash as I do for deodorant.

Some additions:

I don't mess with the face. My skin remains extremely clear and I have fruit, apple cider vinegar, and the steam room to thank for that. I don't wash it with a cloth. Maybe this won't work for all but I don't mess with success. I do however use "eye gel" for underneath my eyes. Underneath my eye color ranges from light purple to almost black. This helps although doesn't cure it.

I shave virtually everything except for arms and a some token hair above my unit. I usually have a girlfriend take care of my back and hard to reach areas. Waxing is preferred and the girls seem to have no problems doing it for me. Unlike some, I didn't have any consequences of ass hair removal.

Washcloths are pure evil. I use the shower puff. Glad to see many people here do so as well.

I alternate between four colognes.

Body Wash -Alternate between two: Victoria Secret's Passion and The Ivy's Spa Perfect.

Shampoo/Conditioner: Both-ALTERNA Enzymetherapy Caviar Shampoo/Conditioner.

Toothpaste - Colgate with whitening, Luce organic whitening paste as well.

Toothbrush - The Pulsar One..

Shaver - Mach 3 Power. Not fancy, but eh needed.

Deodorant - HAS to be Secret, HAS to be.

Oh and it's called a Lufa, not a shower puff thing lol

Body Wash: Axe: Snake Peel

Shampoo: VO5, Swave, Head and Sholders

Toothpaste: Whatever works and has a cool cartoon guy on it.

Deodorant: Old Spice: FRESH

Oh and I use a CVS Razor thats pretty decent.

Yeah, I've used a poof for awhile myself. Just wish they'd make less feminine-looking colors. I want a poof that's camo or possibly has a picture of The Power Rangers on it.

what do u recommend for shaving your balls? Electric or manual?

I find electric irritates the skin, and im too scared to try a normal blade. Its also a difficult surface to effectively shave, you have to go at it from about a million different angles, and youre still left with stubble

I can die now. :lol

Does Shaving your armpits cause the hair to grow back quicker and more? I don't have much hair there but I think it retains sweat.

A GUIDE TO DAILY BODY PREPARATION FOR GENTLEMEN AND SCHOLARS

=========

Body Wash:
Every day, guys, and sometimes twice a day. Bitches use "body wash." You can rebrand it all you want--call it "man suit" and give the bottle a football texture all you want. It's perfume. Stick with the tried and true Dial regular bar soap. You want a blank palette for your natural pheromones and whatever real scent (cologne) that you use--don't debase it with cheap grocery store shit. The idea here is to get clean without completely drying out your skin (avoid Ivory), and not ruining the way your cologne smells by putting a layer of cheap shit underneath. Focus on the three main odor areas and the arms. Suds should hit the rest. If your feet stink wash 'em twice.

Shampoo:
Every day, guys. Switch shampoo and conditioner brands once per month (a 2-3 brand rotation works well). Don't buy your shit from a grocery store. The chemicals used in cheap brands can ruin your mane. Don't use it. I highly recommend stopping by Beauty Brands (get your wife/girl/mom/boyfriend to go for you) during their Liter Sale. For what little hair you have left, a couple brands of shampoo and conditioner each should last you a year. I like Bed Head brand, and some obscure shit that brings out your natural color. Condition/Cream Rinse a couple times per week.

Toothpaste:
Every day, guys...and keep it simple. Your brand of choice is fine--I'm partial to Pepsodent.

ToothBrush:
Avoid brushes that are too firm. They're bad for you! I use the one the dentist gives me, and like a nice medium softness with a wide stroke. Up and down, not side to side!

Shaver:
I use an electric. Norelco. Every other day to allow for the sexual 3-o'clock shadow to take effect. Just gotta change the head every couple years.

Deodorant:
I really really like clear products, specifically a clear bar or a clear gel. No aerosol or crumbly white stuff guys. I pick up whatever smells good, but I like this Adidas one I just got. Oh yeah...no antiperspirant. That shit is so bad for you. Stick with tried and true deodorant and you'll be fine. Wear an undershirt at all times and make sure it is nice and thick. NO CHEAP SHIT (I recommend Jockey for undershirts).

===========

After that, it's all about polish. Clean clothes, nice underclothes (boxers and undershirts) are vital--they are the first line of defense for potential offensiveness...and the last line of presentation before you score. And if you're a man, you have to be prepared to score at all times. Keep your fucking ears clean. Stick a q-tip in there, ignore the warnings. EVERY DAY SICKOS. Clip your fingernails a few times per week and buff them on your jeans. Nice shoes--the secret way that all people will judge you. In general, socks should match the shoes. One last thing--no cheap cologne guys. Chicks can tell. And don't use that much either - one spray or two dabs. (I switch between Eternity and Nautica usually)

Realize that the way you present yourself changes every single encounter you have, every single day. Be who you are and be good at it---but look good while doing it. Let your good smells (there actually ARE some) come through and remember that whatever is on you will meld and interact with that, creating a smell and persona that ONLY you can make. Make sure that combination of scents is perfect.

If you start the day right and prepare your body to perfection, all you need is a little charm, a little confidence, and nice clean clothes and you can pretty much get whatever pussy, friends, jobs, or positions that you want.

Body Wash: Old Spice some new bottle with baby blue liquid. Works great. I shower every day.

Shampoo: Sensun Salon or some shit. Just bought it. Works well. Thought about trying out Bed Head but I could not find one shampoo of theirs I liked.

Toothpaste: Rembrandt Plus. The best toothpaste I have ever used. It's a bit weird at first because it does not foam as other toothpastes, but it works wonders. It actually whitens teeth, too. Also, followed by some Listerine.

Toothbrush: Oral B, I think. Too lazy to check.

Deodorant: Old Spice Anti-Perspirant After-Hours. Used Gillette for a while but it didn't work as well as I liked. I'm very picky with mine because I am allergic to ones that use alcohol in them.

Razor: I switched from an electric to a regular razor just a little while ago. I use a Fusion, works great for me. I wash my face with Nivea For Men Facial Scrub to avoid razor-burn before I shave along with some Nivea For Men shaving lotion. Had bad razor burn early on because my skin was used to an electric razor (I would just trim), but now I don't get it anymore.

Hair product: If you want to use hair product, but don't like gels and don't want your hair to fall out, then use some Bed Head product - like Bed Head Manipulator. It's expensive ($17 a pop). Or if you want something that gives you more firm and control, then use Ice Spiker - that's $14 a bottle. These work wonders. Yes, they are expensive, but you won't have bald spots on your head.

Crush Dance, you are the opposite of what I do in the shower.

Soap: Dove, it's the only soap that doesn't leave my skin itchy, dry and flaky.
Shampoo: Head and Shoulders. I have a dander problem. :(
Toothpaste: Colgate <whatever> I'm using "Total" brand right now.
Toothbrush: Colgate cross action bristles. I really don't care about this part.
Mouthwash: Listerine Advanced I get from Cosco.
Shaver:Used to be Mach 3 but now use the cheaper 2 blade razor. I'm cheap with those.
Shaving gel: Anything that has moisterizers. Again, dry skin problem.
Deodorant: Speed stick whatever. Cheap and effective. :/

What a whore!:lol You weren't kidding. My skin nver gets "dry though except in winter and even then I just use vaseline to keep out the cold and keep my skin soft.

I don't overthink it much:

Step 1: Get soap all over a rag,
Step 2: Go over entire body with rag,
Step 3: Shampoo,
Step 4: Condition if I'm too lazy to go to the barber.

5 minutes tops.

You use a rag?...

I believe in taking care of myself and a balanced diet and rigorous exercise routine. In the morning if my face is a little puffy I'll put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. I can do 1000 now. After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial mask which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.
